Simulators in general, so games where there’s multiple systems running not just simultaneously, but interacting with each other dynamically. Weather and Time, A-Life, etc.

I like systems heavy games myself like RPGs, Tactics games, and sims, but I’m more than happy to do simpler games too.

Yeah, find me at flerffyburr!

Solid work! Good job!

I’m excited to announce I’ve released my first RPG Maker MZ plugin!

It started out as a simple feature for a game that’s a WIP but I decided it’d be cool to let other developers out there use my system as well!

It’s very customizable, supporting the default system box settings, customizable 9-slice bubbles, custom toasts and system blurbs, and more! This will be a constant development plugin too! If you use my plugin and want a feature you don’t see in it that you think should be, then please ask away!

I’m a programmer with some minor skill in sound and art. I’m wanting to join a team and help produce some games as I don’t enjoy doing the art or sound design portion of game development.

I know C++, GDScript, and JavaScript.

Thank you!

Thanks, I swung back around to give you some star rating as well!

awesome work here!

Excellently done, 5/5 stars

Pretty good! I might swing back and make a leaderboard for this, not sure though.

QTE the game

Oh man, I’m not seeing the rating. But I’ll take a peek at your game.

Glad you dug it! Don’t forget to give me some stars so I can get seen by other people and get their opinions too!

HA! I guess it is just a Bop-It lol

Thank you!

The music hurts my ears but its still somehow enjoyable!

lol yeah, stories should be progressive, pushing you forward along their track. It’s one thing to go back to an area to START a quest, but the return back to start should only ever be at the very end for turn in if it’s their at all.

I’m partial to a good story myself, but it’s got to have good pacing.

Thank you!

I’m glad you like the visuals. I went for a Corporate Memphis look purely by the seam of my pants. The original color scheme was lighter but when I came back to the off-white cream that used to be the background it just felt gross.

I used your track in my Game Jam https://vanir-software.itch.io/jackpot-jank Take a peek!

Crazy tricky! Clever idea!

Very nice, I adore bittersweet endings in games

My worst fears made manifest

Omori is a stellar narrative piece and it’s combat system ties in with that narrative elegantly.

14 REALLY does explain all your tastes in one shot, hahaha. Have you tried Delver?

How do you tell if you’re going to have a great time with the combat? Is there something on the cover that tells you, or do you pick up the game and refund it if the combat is lacking?

When you spot an interesting RPG, what tells you that you’re going to have a fun time exploring the world?

thank you

I’m developing an RPG because it’s probably my favorite genre. But while I was going through thinking about my game’s systems and rules I came to the question I didn’t know how to answer.

Why do you play RPGs? What keeps you trudging through encounter after encounter squishing slimes and clubbing goblins? What makes these games and stories worthwhile to you?

What do you want from the genre itself and what bit of info do you wish every RPG developer would realize that you feel they haven’t yet?

All good. It’s already helpful information to know that I’ll need a few thousand daollars for a truly custom tileset. Something to build my way towards I guess!

Love these, I’m using a pixel-art version for my current project

This looks awesome! I hope you can find the time and energy to produce other packs like deserts, snowlands, forests, towns, and even some dungeon assets.

I have no idea where indie devs find the money to hire pixel artists as good as you to do this kind of work! I can only imagine a custome tile sheet costing a few hundred dollars.

Nice to meet you! I’ve been goofing around for the last for months to make an RPG Maker game! It’s playable and pretty much done but in serious need of a few months of polish, clean up, and improvements.

I made it exist, now it’s time to make it good!

Problem is, I very much enjoy the programming, writing, and music side of things, not really making the maps themselves, and I just don’t have the knack for pixel art.

I’m hoping that’s where you come in!

The rough and ugly run of my game ran a whopping total of nearly 232 art assets (woah boy). That means I’ll likely need ~300 by the time we’re in full launch and sale. Problem is I can’t sprite an NES Goomba, less a whole modern-day RPG

I need someone who’s willing to stare at a bunch of pixels, make some glorious designs, and in return get paid a good… what… 10-20% revshare?

The rough and ugly run of my game ran over the course of 336 maps, (woah boy) and as I’ve tried to put the effort in to turn them into something DECENTLY passable, I find my meager strength to go on fading DX.

I need someone who’s willing to take a peek under the hood, help me make some good looking maps, maybe teach me where I’m beng a total goob, and in return get paid a good… what… 10-20% revshare?

I just can't seem to get the tilemap or palette to work correctly, what's the best method to use these?
