the room spawning mechanism for the dungeon is on a 8x8 grid with the maximum room count of 35, out of this at least one altar and shrine should spawn (but its not distance based). Maybe I put the probability values of the altars and shrines too low (that's my bad). But thank you for trying out the game nonetheless. If you replay (if you have time or don't mind) the dungeon layout should be completely different! Thank you for your feedback!

tysm for the feedback! This was my first top down 2d game so I didn't really know what to do with the movement but now I know!

Thank you! I could have definitely done way more polishing with the game mechanics and tutorials for the player but I had limited time. After the jam is over I probably will polish the game and user experience more, thank you for the playing!

Ty for the review, idk about the screen freezing bug, might be something to do with itch but I'll try looking into it! Probs will polish game a bit more after jam is over. (I also like your game btw, very arcadey :) )

Great game, has very strong arcade like themes and art style is great!

ty!

i probably could have done a better job at having a small tutorial for the player but what's done is done. Thanks for the review!

I thought seriousness was comedic... uhh oops... Thanks for the review!

i don't think this is how crop rotation works... But who am i to judge, not like I am farmer anyways. I just think this is a very serious farming simulator and is very fun to play!

very serious as you can see

tysm!

That's my bad, it was my first time making a metroidvania so I don't really know the core mechanics too well, will add counter/visual indicator of abilities more thoroughly next time, appreciate the feed back.

The animations and movement is really good! Very snappy

I love the artstyle and overall feel of the game! Great job

Very chill, relaxing drawing game! Love the sound effects when drawing on paper, sounds so satisfying

Thank you! Probably will fix this after game jam voting period ends!

I really like the artstyle and music of this game! One suggestion though, maybe add a mechanic where the player can move in all 8 directions (diagonals)  or else it can feel a bit clunky at times. The idea is great though!

As you can tell, I am not a good game writer, probably left many holes with the "ploy" of the game (if there even is any to begin with). Tysm for the review :)

Tysm, in all honesty I forgot to tie my stamina scripts up with my losing screen... But whats done is done so thank you for the review!

I like the UI design of this project and the isometric layout!

I like this game's artstyle but maybe make the background less cluttered, the gameplay is good but I feel like the cluttered background may cause some eye strain and will direct the players attention elsewhere instead of the main character/spacecraft.

Thank you, I have planned updates for both the ability upgrades after each wave and the introduction of more and harder enemies! Hopefully I will be able to finish the game when the Jam ends!

I like the artstyle of this game! very impressive for a game made in 7.5 days :)

Very well designed game for your first web game experience! I suggest maybe adding rotations to the player sprite to roll along with player controls(gravity). Also maybe add game mode options for easier/more forgiving gravity options. These are just suggestions for core gameplay but you could also add extra background art, music and obstacles.

Really like the idea of this game! Although the UI could use some polishing the gameplay loop is really interesting!
