What? That's nuts! if my silly game weren't already dangerously-overscoped (and i wasn't scared of using Ruby), id put this in in a heartbeat!
I'll check back in a few months!

there are a couple things I'd personally like to see, but i'll save the peanut-gallery suggestions until this is more fleshed out because they're mostly of the "features UT itself doesn't have" variety

Update on this:

After two years, there's finally a nonzero chance that such a fangame will be happening!

got a friend working with me on a whiteboxed prototype, if we get it in a playable state you'll be the first to know!

Seems someone beat me to the punch on the "Youtube shorts inspired autobattler" thing. I hope this doesn't mean I have to ditch the "Auto Balls but it's SpennTF2" idea.

Ok, actual review:

Great potential, but it feels hard to get going. The first shop should probably be moved to after battle 1 or 2 so I feel like I have actual spending power.

personally, tarots feel too weak to warrant putting CDs towards them instead of towards abilities. If they had like multiple uses (and grew progressively more crumpled as a visual indicator) in exchange for costing more, I think I'd be more eager to use em compared to being a one-and-done that barely tips the scales.

I would like a bit more player agency for the fights themselves too, even if it's as simple as choosing which angle your ball(s) will launch at when the battle starts.

The art? Big fan. It's silly.

Overall, cute game, was a nice time waster for a bit, and would love to come back to it if more's added down the line!

Good game, yes,

but I CANNOT be asked to MEMORIZE half a screen's worth of level-layout.

unless this frustration is deliberate, please consider some kind of way to "visualize" the level (or at least the parts you've seen) after you've seen why where-you-look is important.

You know about hex color codes? I'm no expert, but according to the colorpicker you used FF-00-0F, 01-FF-00, and 0007FF. I think the program specifically checks for FF-00-00, 00-FF-00, and 00-00-FF

Games like these are why I'm willing to dig through the horror-hogwash that permeates itch's front page, I actually almost cried tears of joy yeayea?

then again maybe im just weird and this happened to crit me. Either way I'm soso excited. Instant wishlist!!

Thank you! If i can get in touch with my one friend who actually does music stuff i'll make something even SILLIER

Shows potential, I hope you revisit this concept once you've got more experience under your belt.

Great game, my only real complaint is that the win/lose screens are slow. I'd love to see a sequel or "third pack" update someday. Maybe I'll even look into making a fangame of sorts once I improve at Godot.

It's not often that I find a spooky game that I actually enjoy. This is great.

The concept definitely has potential.

Patrick's Parabox advanced

Promising! Looking forward to seeing more!

Brainrot so bad that not only did I make a pair of OCs based on it but I'm seriously considering making an AU

I mean, SmallAnt tried (and succeeded), so why not try it yourself?

I think the really sad part is that we don't get the the hilariously-blatant fake kind of rumors anymore either.

This is the best game I never played (I don't like most rpg combat and I already saw the story through Yahiamice's livestreams, but I have brainrot nonetheless). Like seriously this shit's so good I'm gonna make a whole-ass AU of it that's how good it is. It's AU-worthy.

TEN OUTTA TEN, ZE!

Wow, this trash is even worse than the time I tried to make trash. Props to you.

I have been listening to the final boss theme for two hours now I cannot stop

A friend sent this to me. Even though I know next to nothing about the touhou series (Other than a lovely music video about a stolen precious thing, and whether or not it's feasible to clear the games without moving), I had genuine fun with this. For a short, free game, it's a definite 10/10.

Update: Stage is finished! No scripting, sadly (or, at least, not yet).

I wonder if there's a (preferably legal) way to get my hands on the tileset and music files (for Rivals of Aether custom stage purposes).

Imagine Miitopia with this combat system

Hey, I originally found this game on Scratch! Now that I know it's on Itch too, I should update the description of the Rivals of Aether stage I made themed around it.
