Hi! Warbound Realms is already entered in the jam. It’s a free, no-download browser TCG/autobattler with 20-card deckbuilding, live real-time PvP, daily/weekly missions, achievements, realm chat, and account progression.

Play here: https://warboundrealms.itch.io/warboundrealms

I’m especially looking for feedback on:

• whether onboarding and the first match are clear

• combat readability and pacing

• deckbuilding clarity

• matchmaking or connection bugs

If you leave a comment with your game link, I’ll return a genuine playtest with specific feedback. If another tester is online, please try PvP; otherwise the rest works solo in the browser.

Disclosure: AI-assisted graphics, text and code.

Warbound Realms — https://warboundrealms.itch.io/warboundrealms

Hey everyone! I’ve opened the alpha of Warbound Realms, a free, no-download browser TCG/autobattler built around short competitive matches and persistent account progression.

Build a 20-card warband, mix Human and Infernal units, then queue into live real-time PvP. The current alpha also includes realm chat, daily and weekly missions, achievements, deckbuilding, and progression rewards.

I’m especially looking for feedback on combat clarity, match pacing, onboarding, and whether the deckbuilder is understandable on a first visit. Card-game and autobattler players are very welcome, but no prior experience is required.

The project uses AI-assisted graphics, text, and code, disclosed on the game page. Honest, specific criticism will help shape the next update.

I tested the opening flow, launched the ranked circuit, started the 100m event, and explored the Locker Room and desktop windows. The early-2000s desktop presentation is immediately charming and more than a skin: opening apps, overlapping windows, athlete customization, flags, and the global score target all support the fantasy. The Locker Room is especially well structured — controls have clear labels and the preview updates the feeling of ownership before the first event.

The largest usability issue is putting a mouse-wheel-only event first. The page says mouse, trackpad, keyboard, or touch are supported, but the 100m prompt only offers scrolling. A keyboard-only player reaches the ranked circuit and is blocked immediately. Please add an alternate input such as alternating A/D or Left/Right keys (and show it beside the scroll prompt). That would also make the game easier to test and more accessible.

A smaller UX issue: several app windows can remain open at once, so it is easy for a new player to lose which window is active. Stronger active-window contrast or a small first-use hint about minimizing/closing would help. Overall, the presentation is memorable and the five-event/leaderboard structure gives it a clear replay goal; input parity is the main thing I would fix first.

I played a normal run for 20+ moves, then tested the 3×3 board and Undo. Keyboard input felt immediate, merges were smooth, the grid-size switch correctly started a fresh board, and Undo restored the previous state as expected. The per-grid best score plus speed controls are good quality-of-life details.

The settings are the main differentiator from standard 2048, but the panel presents many novelty modes at once. I would group them into “Board”, “Accessibility”, and “Fun/Chaos”, or reveal the joke modes under an Advanced/Fun section so a new player sees the important controls first.

Accessibility issue: during active play, the page’s accessibility tree still exposes the hidden “Game Over!” and Settings headings, while the Dark/Emoji/Party/Drunk/Chaos toggles are not exposed as clearly named buttons or switches. Screen-reader users may hear a game-over state that is not visible and may be unable to operate the toggles. Adding proper hidden-state handling and labelled switch semantics would improve this a lot. The game itself works cleanly; the next step is making the settings feel curated rather than simply numerous.

I played the tutorial and spent time with the core PULL/PUSH loop. The rule became clear very quickly: blue wants PULL, red wants PUSH, and the gold-orb two-step is a nice extension of the one-button idea. The polarity colors and large mode button are easy to read.

My first point of confusion was timing rather than the rule itself — it was hard to judge exactly how close an object was to the core near the edge of the field, so I tended to flip early. A slightly stronger time-to-impact cue (ring, pulse, or escalating audio) could make mistakes feel more clearly like mine. I also read the starting shield display as “already missing one shield”; showing 3/3, or explaining the empty bonus slot, would remove that doubt.

The Daily Field, mission, local stats, and theme unlocks give the prototype a surprisingly complete return loop. I did want to try another run, although I did not reach a full loss during this short test. Solid, immediately understandable arcade hook.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! 😊 Glad to hear the game reminded you of Dota Auto Battler—that's definitely a compliment.

Good to know that drafting and positioning felt clear, even if the fusing mechanic took a bit longer to click. We'll see if we can make that part a little more intuitive.

Regarding the audio, there actually aren't any sound effects or music in the current build yet, so you didn't miss anything. That's something we plan to add in a future update.

Thanks again for taking the time to play and share your thoughts! It really helps.

Hey everyone — I’m a solo indie developer building Warbound Realms, a free browser TCG/autobattler where you draft, fuse, and position a five-card warband before automated battles.

Play the alpha — no download:
https://warboundrealms.itch.io/warboundrealms

The latest update adds eight new synergy units: four Human formation specialists and four Infernal sacrifice engines. The current alpha also includes factions, artifacts, upgrades, progression, and bot battles while PvP is still in development.

I’m looking for early players who can try one match and tell me which unit felt strongest, weakest, or most confusing. I publish regular patch notes and use tester feedback to decide what changes next.

(1 edit)

I’m building Warbound Realms solo and experimenting with TCG deckbuilding, fusion, positioning, and autobattler combat.

The alpha is free and playable without a download:

After one match, I’d love feedback on three things:

• Was drafting, fusing, and positioning clear?
• Which unit or synergy felt strongest or most confusing?
• Would you willingly play a second match?

Short and brutally honest feedback is welcome.
