Thanks for playing!

Level 15 is one of those where every move truly does matter. Really have to strategize ahead on where to plant those flowers so you don't get blocked. And not all of them have to be planted at the same time... Hope that is helpful. 😉

¡Gracias a ti también! 😎

Been working on this little by little over the past 3 years. I'm glad you like the graphics and music!

Thanks very much! 😎 Especially glad that you enjoyed the music too!

Just dawned on me that Android games don't need to go through Google Play. That means I can probably release it here on itch.io as a separate bundle. As a Mac guy, I'm so used to everything having to go through the official marketplace since that's how iOS works lol.

Hey, thanks for your interest in an Android version! Distributing paid apps on Google Play comes with some compliance requirements that can be tricky for a solo developer, but I'm looking into maybe releasing it here on itch.io instead, since it seems more straightforward.

I'm a Mac guy and only really know the iOS ecosystem, so I still need to learn more about how Android players typically find and download games. 😎

Thanks! I really wanted to make strong impression with the demo—music, visuals, overall polish—so that it captivates players. Working hard to launch it mid 2027. 😬

Thanks for playing! Chess was certainly an inspiration, so I'm glad you mentioned how it's similar. Oh the full game will contain even more harder levels, this was just a little taste. 😎

Glad you enjoyed it!

I played the first several levels and it was quite addictive. What a colorful and charming platformer. Are there enemies in later levels?

The gem animations and sound design remind me of Monument Valley.

Great job!

Thanks for your feedback—that's great to know!

Hey thanks for the feedback! I too have wondered about the fade to white being too harsh. Will take this into consideration for future builds. I've also pondered the idea of a more branded transition using clouds or something.

All good man 😎

No problem. You can also try the demo for the first Nymble on Newgrounds.

Yeah, but not for the demo. They will be in the full release in 2027. Have you played Nymble 1 yet? It's currently out on iOS. 😁

Oh! I wasn't aware of that. Nymble 2 is just a single-player game, so it shouldn't require an internet connection to play. I could be wrong, but to my understanding and a Google search, a game that's delisted on Steam will still remain in your library.

If it's any reassurance, I don't think I'd ever have any reason to remove a game from Steam, since it doesn't really cost me anything to keep it up there after the initial registration fee.

I don't have plans to release on gog.com or itch.io at the moment. The full game is planned for release on Steam for PC and Mac next year, and then iOS shortly after.

Can you please elaborate what you mean by "legally back it up"?

Well, you’ve made it past level 20, so congrats!

For Level 22, here’s a hint: you need to cross the river multiple times 😉

Hey thanks for the feedback. Did you try it in portrait orientation? It’s meant to be played in mobile but portrait orientation only.

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it. Level 19 is tricky since there are very few things you can jump over. Remember that every time you jump, you change your distance from nearby enemies. :)

Thanks, glad to hear that!

Glad you enjoyed Nymble 2! Thanks so much for Wishlisting it and showing your support.

Hey thanks, I really appreciate the interest in a native demo! It takes a bit of work to prepare Windows and Steam builds, but they're definitely planned as Steam Next Fest 2027 approaches next year. For now, the web demo is the best way to try the game.

Hey thanks, appreciate it. I mean, I get why some folks are against AI, especially when it comes to training on real art. But I think they sometimes miss the nuance and lump everything together as "AI slop" without even playing the game. Anyway, thanks for the support!

No probs. Glad you enjoyed playing it. 😎

Of course. Thanks for asking.

So I used AI-generated backgrounds initially to get the project off the ground. Once I saw the game had potential, I commissioned an artist to create real art and I also created others myself. All art in the game is now not AI.

For the coding stuff, I sometimes chat with ChatGPT to brainstorm approaches on how to start tackling a difficult problem that I might have been stuck on for days, such as special-case pathfinding, very specific to my game. I'd look at the approach to understand the approach, and write my own version because rarely can you directly copy and paste it in. This is in stark contrast to games that are generated with vibe coding, where nearly the whole game code is AI-generated.

If you turn on the "AI was used" setting, then your game automatically gets classified as "AI-Generated" in the search, which is unfair and a total misrepresentation. I only realized this after flipping the setting on and there's no way to remove the disclosure, so selecting the opposite choice was my only option. For context, I've worked very hard on this game for many years even before AI was made available: design, art, music, code, and all. It should not be generalized in with "AI-Generated" games.

Hey thanks for your reply. The Steam page is up by the way; you can now Wishlist to get notified when it comes out. Thanks for your support. 😎

dude. thats wild

Glad to hear that about the difficulty, thanks your feedback!

Great question. The jumping mechanic will be the main hook but the game is still being designed and built out, so things like items and tools are certainly a possibility. 😉

Thanks for checking out my devlog. I'm glad the hook is strong.

I've structured the progression so that game mechanics are taught one at a time, without having to read huge walls of text to understand how to play. Give the demo a try and let me know what you think.

Hey, thanks for checking out the new version. Glad to hear that it feels like a better fit.

Yeah the snow one, I wasn’t  entirely satisfied with, so I withheld that one for this build. Ended up creating a new piece on my own, which will appear in a later update. The artwork progress is on my Twitter/X if you’re curious. 😊

¡Gracias por jugar!

Thanks! I'm glad you love Nymble 2. The background art was recently updated and I'm pretty happy how it's turned out.

Puzzle games aren't for everyone, but I'm glad you gave it a try!

Hey, thanks for your feedback! The game was originally meant for mobile, and hence the "pocket-sized levels". I've had some mixed feedback on the level sizes, so making more of them bigger is something I've contemplated. Level 20 gives you a taste of what a larger level feels like.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Hey, just updated the demo. Most of the background artwork is new. :) Let me know what you think.

Hey, fyi the Steam page just went live. You can wishlist it now to get notified when it comes out for Mac 🙂
