Wow! I didn't realize he made her into furniture and food. That makes a lot of sense; it all goes back to his crime.

It's really cool how Danny is forced to face his actions with remorse. Was the Sensifier a form of punishment?

But it is personal. I felt pretty immersed, and even though I've never heard of the term moral horror before reading your comment, I thought the message still hit very well. How can this be if these two things supposedly clashes with each other... ?  I don't know, but I still think the whole experience was well-blended. Perhaps being too technical just ruins your fun. Because it's obvious that despite these "flaws" you mention, people have had the exact opposite reaction than you did — which may speak for something that your cookie-cutter "principles" cannot.

Ooh! Would you guys ever give a full explanation?

SPOILERS

I think the ending showed that the rehabilitation project wasn't about using the Sensifier as a way to create sensible beings for inmates to interact with — but instead to create "hearts" for them that mimic human compassion. Danny sees his crime with the heart that's been instilled in him and kills himself for it, calling his past self heartless. Dr. Morris's idea was a success!

That explains why they both say, "Not then. But now."

I also think Candy's appearance was deliberately made to look like his victim, as if to put inmates to the test  once more.

And if we go back to Danny's conversation with Candy, he asks her something along the lines of , "Do we treat others the way we do because they're human? Or because they have feelings?"

In Danny's case you could say that though he's human, he's also an unfeeling murderer. The objects that are Sensified, like Candy, pose the opposite dilemma; they're not human originally, but by all means they are sentient and feeling.  Making Dr. Morris's idea also very unethical 馃憥

But then I think it's interesting to try and implement artificial feelings within a killer. Does that really make them rehabilitated citizens, or not? Super meta of Danny to even consider.

When did art "require" anything to be enjoyable or effective? These hard-set takes on how those genres should be defined and executed is entirely too rigid to apply as a formula when the medium to do so, and the possibilities, are limitless. Even critically, your review is sad. Does your spoon have to display the perfect curvature for you to enjoy a bowl of soup? I think this way of thinking does you more harm than good, honestly.

I loved playing this so much! The writing, art, and little details (best when indiscreet) are what made the visual novel most enjoyable for me. So much of the conversations seem to flow so well and to such an extended length I honestly get impressed as someone who likes to write - since I know how hard it can be to keep track of dialogue after a point. ESPECIALLY in a game like this with mystery abound everywhere and every sentence needing to hold and read in that same purpose. Having to keep log of all that must be hard! But that's also the charm of it: finding out who these characters are through interaction and WORD! On that note, I read another comment critiquing how unusually 'slow' Big Bad Dogs seem to progress for a yandere game, and that it may do good for it to lean in more with the obsession much earlier in the plot. As a player who loves BBD and all its hundreds of thousands of words - PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THIS! Your effort and passion truly shows. There are many, many, many visual novels on this site (a lot of which are yandere-themed) that are already very cut-to-the-chase, linear, and predictable. And while there's nothing wrong with that, that doesn't mean these kind of games should have to always fit that pattern to be enjoyable or acceptable within the genre. I view BBD as a passion project above all. It would be a shame to smother that by condensing your creativity in fewer words or less build-up of intrigue, just to cater to an audience only in it for the immediate 'climax' of a story revolving around obsession. In my opinion, I could only love this VN so much because we are able to thoroughly learn these characters. It's what makes their motives that much more meaningful. When they seem like an actual person with history rather than a stereotypical vessel for overused and easy tropes. I can honestly say I'd put in much more hours than I have now to gain even the barest hint of what BB may look like. Or his time in the army. And more of his quirky preferences and habits. Or even the kind of man his father is for BB to barely speak about in comparison to his mother.

All that to say, I really like the direction Big Bad Dogs is going in! Please keep it up!

THANK YOU! The story and our 'character' instantly hooked me in. I loved thinking about and piecing together references made throughout the game. Can't wait for future updates!

It was a fun throwback to my creepypasta days! I'm glad to see people are still into it too, thank you!

Thank you for the game! I love the concept of a fisherman gone out to sea to escape his guilt, only to relive his actions in a horrifying manner. The ambience was perfect and the poem at the end really tied it together.

(SPOILERS) I believe he killed his wife (hence the sins) in jealousy, and as a consequence, the baby she was pregnant with (probably his as well, considering the ending message implies she wasn't actually having an affair).

i was not ready for that TT but i got my results at least!

I really didn't expect the ending but I enjoyed it so much! The puzzles were clever too, and it took me some time to get through lol. Still, I'm intrigued and have many questions!! Thank you for the game!!

my literal ways of life, thank you for your wisdom hikikomori

I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I wasn't expecting Morris to be the way he was, but it was so much better!! I'm also very sad about his notes... But I'm happy we got to smooch!!

Edit: After reading up on the Morris worm on wiki, this game should definitely be in the pop culture references lol.
