Of course. I understand the constraints.

Hello, Jon. I'm here looking for an artist for a cyberpunk 1920s theme metroidvania/hackNslash. I saw your post here and your portfolio, and our team would like to talk with you if you are interested.

This is our project, we are a small team, but I am certain we will release this game. The team is based in Sweden, and work would be rev share ensured by contract as this is our first game and we don't have the money for a paid up front opportunity.

Looking for: 2D vector graphics artist with good character who is willing to work hard and communicate well. 5th member to join.

Our talent: Game Design/Artist/Writer (Zee), Musician/Sound Designer (Tuukka), Programmer/Writer(Emil), Producer/Manager/Business(Joseph). 🇸🇪 🇫🇮 🇺🇸

After adding another artist we will have a full team. But we don't truly need an artist, unless they can bring talent to the team.

Project: Metroidvania Bullet Hell with a splash of hack and slash. 2D isometric perspective. Post apocalyptic 1920s style -- think Fallout meets Roaring 20s. Mature themes along the lines of Fallout: New Vegas.

Extensive creative liberty within the setting. Think mainly trains, cars, buildings, weapons, demons, angels, immortals, zeppelins, mega buildings, trees and more.

Custom bone-based animation tool for isometric animations.

Expected assets per week: 10 SVG isometric art files plus or minus based on skill and discussion. Maybe more if you feel motivated, maybe less if it's complicated to make.

Minimalistic cel shaded vector art with heavy use of greyscale, neon and gold. But this color palette is open for discussion if you provide better ideas then the current artist who's really more of a writer.

Length of project:  8-12 months dev time left. Currently 8 months into engine development, and 4 months into world and art development. Expected to launch by December 2026, or next March 2027 at the latest.

Split %: Payment after game launch, or perhaps some other agreement can be reached. Funds are limited for us.

Contact method: Message here, or via Discord on the Game Dev League server, look for me zevon_longbone.

oy! Hey prace, can you change the name on this from zorbaz engalander to zevon longbone. i'm rebranding my stuff because zorbaz is a pizza joint in michigan.

Also. i don't have your email, and i deleted my old discord account.

What's a good way to stay in touch?

I really liked how this game played. I enjoyed the setting and how you tied everything together in a nice puzzle! It's great!

I really liked the novel approach on this one. It's quite refreshing to see how all the nodes all tie together. And the story carries on. I bet you all must have done a lot of writing on this!

I tried out your game, and it's pretty nice. I liked the shooting multiple enemies. One part that kinda felt rough is the shooting off into the left side in that valley the bullets can fly for a realllly long time.

I liked it! But I think there could be some way to undo a run that's too long or misplaced?

I enjoyed the game! I feel like maybe I could use a second ability, but this is very nice!

I liked how it was difficult, but sometimes it seemed like I was always going to die mathmatically. I only had 8 hours to gather food and wood, and I lost 10 hours worth of food and wood. I think you might be able to pare down the design a bit and add some variety?

Hey! I liked this game, but it felt like maybe I could use a rally point? Where my guys can march out, and stop at? Then I can more easily get them to the front line without having to think about them as much.

Hey! I enjoyed the theme of the game. But sometimes it feels a little swurvy? If that's a word?

I really liked how much of a zen feeling this was, but it kinda leveled off for me after a while. Maybe you could have to run from fire to fire, and have one fire flicker and fade as you use it to attack enemies??

I really liked the sound design on this game. The art is smooth too! I like the pixel art and the vibe. You all really nailed it! This is great! This is just a great game over all!
