Compress all books into one zip file

Developer

Greetings!

I have been having mixed thoughts about giving a single download for everything, the different "editions" are essentially the same book with different code listings, where you can choose your favorite programming language and just download the edition you need.

I have also thought of offering a single download (containing both PDF and EPub versions) for each "edition" (thus cutting the number of available downloads in half), as an effort of simplifying the file list.

Maybe after some changes that are going on (like the "single download for all formats" i mentioned above), I may add a "The complete collection" download that allows to download everything at once, for the sake of user-friendliness.

Thank you for your suggestion!

Not sure how difficult this is but could you chuck it on amazon’s print on demand service for people who prefer physical copies? :)

Developer

Hello,

First of all: thanks for your suggestion.

As much as it is appealing to publish on Amazon, it would be a messy process.

I wouldn't be able to give away the ebook for free (0.99$ is the lowest price allowed) and having Amazon price-match other platforms (so I could make the ebook free over there) would mean even more accounts to take care of (and I already have waaaay too many).

Secondly, printing this book doesn't make a lot of sense, since it's meant to be a continuously-changing body of knowledge (although I admit, due to my own time constraints and lack of energy, the project hasn't moved an inch) so physical copies would have very little value (as they would "become obsolete" very quickly).

Hopefully this explains why I'm currently not going to go for any "print on demand" service, as things stand.

In the probability section of the maths chapter, where you discuss a deck of cards I wonder if you mean "suit" instead of seed? On p42 it says "A standard deck has 52 cards, 13 for each seed. This means we would have 13 cards of hearts"

Developer

Yes, it's actually a mistake on my part. Due to "card suit" being translated the same as "seed" in English. I'll take care of fixing the mistake asap!

Developer

The latest release should have fixed the issue, thanks for letting me know!

Will there be a C# version soon?

Developer

Hello!

I would love to make a C# version, but sadly I don't have enough knowledge in the language to make it. If someone with enough knowledge and goodwill opens a PR to add C# listings, I'll be glad to review and merge it.
