can you give us a date for the next update? and the release date on steam it will become 100% complete game? if it yes i will not asking anymore just wait for steam release and buy it
Been a while since anyone did a full reminder, I will try to summarize it:
Arvus Games (Kal - Solo Developer for Starmaker) no longer does ETA dates, as there have been too many unmet release dates with the past releases. This is why the ETA for 1.9 is still 2026. The 1.9 release was last estimated at 70% complete 36 days ago, so you would image we are now sitting in the 80-90% stage atm, but Kal does have a tendency to feature creep so this makes providing estimates even harder. Expect 1.9 in the next month or two, Kal will normally drop a final teaser when the release is close to code complete.
As for the Steam release this will release around two weeks after the 2.0 itch release, once reviewed by Valve. The ETA is currently "3 Nov, 2026" but this date changes regularly, so do not treat it as gospel and is likely to change again. The Steam release will be feature complete with additions to the itch 2.0 release (exclusive side quest involving a new character, plus some new outfits for Anna at the Studio,) but might get bug fixes and quality of life changes later on.
Also keeping in mind Roundscape Eclipse (main project) is the priority for Arvus Games, Starmaker Story is a side project.

as others have advised, there are other things to play and do while waiting. For it being one single developer and such yes, but how worth it depends on the user, a lot of people don't respect the time it takes to fix things or create/modify minigames just because they are not interested/ just care about the sex pictures. Will there be plenty of those, yes as well, but not everyone values the work as it is and only focus on what they have seen as "worthy".
Do feel like we gonna need an update on Starmaker Progress soon, or that Roundscape Eclipse tweet is going to be a shit show in the comments when Kal posts it this month 😬
For the next status update, I'd appreciate knowing which stage of game development Kal is currently in. It appears that Kal is still in the "production" stage, meaning he is adding new content to the game. I would like to know when he switches into the "testing" phase, where Kal stops creating new content and focuses on bug testing and getting the update into it's final form.
If he claims he is doing both, then he is still in the production phase. Any additional content will need to be tested, even if there are sessions of bug testing during production.
I'm loving all the previews I'm seeing, but I don't expect the scope creep to stop until Kal leaves the production stage.
