The atmosphere is great, and the map fun to explore. I loved that rising sea. The intro with the moon is simple, but great

However I felt that it was easy to be lost and to not know what to do. Actually, I missed a feeling of purpose. A hint at what we are trying to achieve
But, hey, it is tough to add that layer of polish in a game jam.

Thank you!!

Yes, it can be difficult to make a puzzle game for a jam and expect players to solve it or know what it going on (Not that I don't blame myself for making unclear puzzles). This is why I always provide a walkthrough for my puzzle jam games.

I have no idea how you managed to do all this within the sort timeframe! Great atmosphere, visuals, and sound. A bit easy to get lost, so I'm glad you shared the walkthrough. A few clipping and collision issues (managed to walk through the stranded whale).  That being said, I'm super impressed with what you have done.

Thank you!!

The whale was just meant to be in the game... not part of a puzzle or anything... I added a mesh collider to it and it didn't work so I thought I'd just ignore it and move onto something else.

The central problem with the game is the island itself. It was difficult to create enough visual keys to show the player where they are and where they have been. That's an inherent difficulty with using a 1-bit color palette. The solution was probably just to make the island a lot smaller, but I didn't have time.
