How does the game fit the theme?
The game interprets the theme as sending couriers out into the ash plagued town where every delivery is a gamble. Taking the direct route is faster but dangerous, taking the detour is safer but risks missing the deadline. The player constantly chooses whether to risk lives and sanity for the chance of saving citizens.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
- UI: Medieval Gothic UI Kit from GabrielaTot (https://gabrielatot.itch.io/gothic-medieval-ui)

I like the premise and execution a lot, the only thing lacking is the audio/visual department.
Atmosphere is really great! Wish there was a good spooky audio to follow it through

I liked the gameplay loop, but I was missing a sense of progression, like how far the plague is progressing.
I'm sorry to say I quit at day 21, I just wasn't sure if it was bugged to go on forever!
The events were repeating as well, I recommend adding extra events, some randomness for event outcomes, and additional couriers.
Nice work, good concept!
I think the concept is an incredible idea that could be used in an actual commercial game. Though this prototype is really lacking a lot in responsiveness, fun, options to choose and more mechanics, the idea is great and this prototype shows where you want to go with this. 3 / 5 for the game, 5 / 5 for the idea.
I like the premise and the overall atmosphere. The game would have felt better if there were sounds and the font was a bit difficult to read. I also wish there was a desktop build, because the webGL version was stuttering quite a lot. But I enjoyed the game.
Like your preview of the title. Game really need some sounds at least, it feels very strange. Font almost unreadable, for names it is okay, but not for chunks of text. And decision making gameplay don't work - i can't feel that my decisions are changing something, through 7 days nothing happened, except numbers of characters have become some different.
Really cool vibe, and ambitious idea!
The vibe is interesting, and it feels like it could be fun with moral dilemmas and survival mechanics, but at the moment it's missing clarity and doesn't give the player much sense of agency, like:
What are the numbers next to the portraits? Does assigning different characters to jobs make any difference? The only choice I really understood was doing a job risky or safe, but the outcome didn't feel clear at all. For example, when a job fails, what actually happened?
Also, the font looks great in the logo and art, but it's really hard to read during gameplay.
Hey I love the concept of this! I think if you do another future update with some sound and more dynamic ui, then it could really pop off! Amazing job for just a week guys!!
The game is pretty cool, but very hard to understand ^^'. It took me some time, an in-game tutorial would have been great! Other than that, the game is pretty fine, a lot of work have been put into it, good job!
The font is pretty hard to read, and the web version is pretty laggy. The absence of music is noticeable, especially since it's a game based on ambience and reading. The game is good but needs a bit of polishing and a clearer starting point would be good
Thanks for trying out the game and leaving feedback! Yeah I agree, I ran out of time for music, polishing and testing the web build 😕
Hello, I must agree with HytreOfeth here. The theme and idea of the game are really promising, the game just lacks a bit of polishing and time. The font is difficult to read and the lack of music is quite noticable.
Pretty cool art and vibe, some sounds or music would be pretty neat for this game. Some sort of small tutorial and what is what would be pretty great (just a simple page with mechanics would work too). Fonts look cool but hard to read sometimes.
There was a bug when one guy got disabled but when you picked a job somehow it stills works (?) but no job is added and then the game soft locks itself
Thanks for your feedback. That's a good point with the tutorial and I'll have a look at the bug!
