How does the game fit the theme?
The game is about a nighttime security guard monkey who's job actually is to suspect other individuals. Along the way, the protagonist encounters individuals whom they may or may not trust. At the same time, the protagonist's perception cannot be relied upon. Hallucinations and perception breaks make the protagonist's own judgement unreliable.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used two open tracks from Kevin MacLeod and the instrumental backing track of the Ghostbusters song, but it is remixed to the point of being unrecognizable. We also used a CIS song called "Kakao Kakao", but it is remixed aswell. The boiling kettle sound and textures were taken from open sources. Everything else is original.

They think we just groom each other for fleas and fight over the ripest fruits. They look down on us, locked away in their angular stone boxes, proud of their machines and dead signs on white paper. But today… today I looked where they look every day, noticing nothing but their own reflection.

I looked into this cup. There, at the very bottom, among the swirling tea leaves, time slowed its pace. The dark moisture pushed apart the edges of the clay, turning into a bottomless well. I saw how stars are born and die in this little puddle. Each tea leaf is a world.

One falls to the bottom—and a civilization fades into oblivion. Another rises to the warmth of the surface—and life blossoms.

Such a cool concept!! I definitely wasn't expecting the transition from 2D to 3D XD

The background music does a great job of setting the atmosphere, and I really like the overall color palette too. Everything works together really well to give the game such a distinctive mood!

Overall, it's a really creative game, and the shift between 2D and 3D was especially unexpected and memorable!

The concept is very unique, I'll say. Certain aspects of the gameplay tend to be rather unclear, but I gotta say I am impressed with the 2D to 3D switch over. It certainly caught me off guard the first time it happened.

I didn't quite understand the game. I also entered a red room randomly, and fell off after giving the soviet twenty dollars (though he needed kopecks). Also, I'm really sorry, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I feel like the description and stuff were written by generative AI. I really mean no offence, so I'm sorry if it wasn't actually written by AI.

Yo its an interesting game. Very interesting concept, and would be a good game if continued development.

But I found the gameplay confusing, had almost a fever dream aesthetic. The red area was interesting, and the concept good. I found the colour vision of the player changing often, from red, to blue to gray. I found 2 bugs, both of which include after credits. First, the ghost buster theme repeats after credits, and continuing to the next run. Second, when exiting your house in run 2, you spawn by the area the game ended in. I finished the game twice in a row, with the ghost buster theme  carrying on to the second run. The red areas seem not to trigger in the second run aswell. I think the scene needs to be factory reset when starting the game again.

Again, very interesting concept. And could become a great game if polished more.

Great to hear that! The project is indeed pretty raw, thank you so much for such a detailed review.

Thank you so much for catching that bug! Honestly, without your intervention, the project probably would have died right there.
