I really enjoyed this one. It's really fun to be given limited information and try to figure out how to use that to solve the crime. I would suggest adding a clearer feedback for whether you caught the right suspect rather than just the text above the door, maybe a sound effect or something. Really great game!

How does the game fit the theme?
The player uses a surveillance camera network to investigate a town, a la Flock cameras
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
the window uses https://godotshaders.com/shader/rain-on-glass-2/
How many people worked on the game?2

Thanks! yep, we initially had all these visions of how Flock is so distant from the actual outcomes of the applications of their technology beyond a profit that I thought keeping the answer’s correctness from the player until the end felt appropriate, but in hindsight that is dumb and frustrating. Thanks for playing and leaving your thoughts!
I really enjoyed this, really good interpretation of the theme. I think going in I was expecting (based on the screenshots and the theme) that the game would have a darker or spookier ambiance which wasn't the case, I found it to be relaxing which I really appreciated as it would have been just as easy to go the other way. I did find the puzzles a bit vague though (I'm not great with puzzles however) and had issues with controls at times, it took me a while to work out that there was a context menu as an example but I think that's expected with something of this scale condensed into a gamejam, great work :) Think this could be expanded on alot.
I almost spit my coffee when right click context menus worked. tbh it took me a while to realize that the clip to hold the papers was a clip, I thought it was a lamp at first and ignored it. the computer system was immaculate. the clues were a little wierd but I could figure it out. I also liked how there were times where I was not at all sure what I was doing but still picked the right suspect. When the new cases kept just appearing I started wondering if it was an infinite loop. There were a couple of focus bugs that kept popping up, focus would stay on the computer while walking or leave the computer while trying to use it, it also does not play the best with dual monitors. This isnt my genre at all but I really liked this.
I really like this one. Its so hard to find games that genuinely make you investigate on your own and this one does it so well and in a very natural way. I did want some sort of progression or upgrade system. Maybe progression in days of sorts. Ill also mention it did spike my fans a bit but nothing major, just more than expected from a smaller jam game. Awesome Job!
I really like the ambience here, definitely what kept me playing. No lag problems from me, that's a relief, but my investigation was halted when I can't return to the masterlist of the vehicles. I typed a license plate and after deleting it, the input had like a scrollbar? I don't know what happened, lel.
I was able to finish 5 cases before though, and I had to use my brain for this one (which is good). Great job on this!
I didn't experience a problem with the lag.
The Good:
I really enjoy the vibe you made with the ambient rain, background music, and just overall cohesive feel of the game with the textures and everything. I love the environment, I could just leave this on my second monitor and just work or relax to it. I love puzzle games like this, reminds me a little bit of database detective, where you need to infer a lot of information from the clues which i think is fun.
The rough:
I'm not sure if im stupid, but the hints / clues are a bit to vague. I'm unsure what exactly I should be filtering for in some situations. Could be because it's a game jam game with no tutorials, but I felt that at times I was missing how to use certain parts of info. I'm pretty sure the instructions also say you can put the report paper on the computer so I can work and read it at the same time, but that doesn't work. I like the controls of the game but the controls feel a bit wonky (Sorry hard to describe)?
Overall I really enjoy the concept and the premise of the game. I think If its a bit too hard for me to beat, maybe a bit more of a directional push or clues and I can get there. Great work :D
That all makes sense. It’s a bad habit for me to err on the side of “frustrating” where I’m afraid of a puzzle being “trivial” when there’s not enough time to dial it in with playtesting.
I doubly appreciate the note about the lag (I was pulling my hair out trying to make sure I nipped whatever the problem was) and triply appreciate the Luffy profile pic!
The only performance issue I had, was I accidentally kept exiting the full screen which would occasionally break the game. Like it would just stop loading until I refreshed it.
But yeah that's understandable,I lean a bit more keeping it easy so people can finish the game. IMO it's easier to add complexity to a game than remove it XD. But still love the work
interesting concept but way too laggy it crashed 2 times other than the lag in game
