I didn't experience a problem with the lag.
The Good:
I really enjoy the vibe you made with the ambient rain, background music, and just overall cohesive feel of the game with the textures and everything. I love the environment, I could just leave this on my second monitor and just work or relax to it. I love puzzle games like this, reminds me a little bit of database detective, where you need to infer a lot of information from the clues which i think is fun.
The rough:
I'm not sure if im stupid, but the hints / clues are a bit to vague. I'm unsure what exactly I should be filtering for in some situations. Could be because it's a game jam game with no tutorials, but I felt that at times I was missing how to use certain parts of info. I'm pretty sure the instructions also say you can put the report paper on the computer so I can work and read it at the same time, but that doesn't work. I like the controls of the game but the controls feel a bit wonky (Sorry hard to describe)?
Overall I really enjoy the concept and the premise of the game. I think If its a bit too hard for me to beat, maybe a bit more of a directional push or clues and I can get there. Great work :D

That all makes sense. It’s a bad habit for me to err on the side of “frustrating” where I’m afraid of a puzzle being “trivial” when there’s not enough time to dial it in with playtesting.
I doubly appreciate the note about the lag (I was pulling my hair out trying to make sure I nipped whatever the problem was) and triply appreciate the Luffy profile pic!
The only performance issue I had, was I accidentally kept exiting the full screen which would occasionally break the game. Like it would just stop loading until I refreshed it.
But yeah that's understandable,I lean a bit more keeping it easy so people can finish the game. IMO it's easier to add complexity to a game than remove it XD. But still love the work
