How does the game fit the theme?
Gather as much fish as you can while dealing with random NPC events that may or may not be good for your sanity.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
the only assets I didn't make during the game jam are the sound effects. the music was made during by friends though.

Congrats on the game! Love the voice acting, clearly a product of love!

I’m not sure if it’s a bug or I did something wrong (besides rejecting too many people), but when the game ended I got a score of 0 even though I had lots of fish.

It was nevertheless an enjoyable experience.

There's 3 scores for the fish, ones for the total ever, one for lost, and the final amount, if you had all your fish stolen that might be why. What did it show for each

I’m pretty sure it was all around 0s. And I had caught maybe 11? And it showed that count at the bottom right, just not at the end screen

After testing, I added a reset to my game after the round ended, I may have added the reset before the code that shows the score, so the data is wiped before I can use it :/. fixed the problem, but its to late for the game jam. TY for finding this!

I let many strangers  sleep in my house.
This is a nice little fishing game, well done.

Sadly I didn't get to play much as it ran badly on my laptop and the fps was barely 2 but from the little gameplay I did manage to get it was a very chill game and as someone who enjoys fishing in games I liked it. I do  think that if you make the SFX for when the fish is caught a lot more distinctive giving the player an audio cue for when the fish is caught it would make fishing more satisfying.
