How does the game fit the theme?
you manage a party of dungeon looters where everyone can betray you at any time.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
all sprites are downloaded from itch

nice idea and great art as a first game its really good of course there is alot missing music ui etc but i think the thing that most needed is a bit of a tutorial as i didnt know what to do at first and for the text not to pop up on the mouse position as most times the mouse covered the first one or two words on the text , anyways great job very good game as a first and hope u continue
I had a technical issue playing through wine, with monster potraits and some text symbols in the dungeon appearing as tofu. I had a similar problem with godot making my game, not realising it was using system fonts and that you need to export a font which supports special symbols if you’re using them in-game.

Seems like a very ambitious game. I’d mostly say the combat log ought to be more detailed and prominent, and character stats should be visible during combat to be able to make more informed choices about what ability to use.
thank you very much for the comment. wow thats good to know, i thought i can just use emojies as placeholders. i will try to fix that ( turns out finding assets that fit together is kinda hard). very valuable feedback for sure, thank you. i definitely plan on continuing with this game so ill add what you mentioned after the jam.
Took me a while to understand that this was played like darkest dungeon, but once this clicked everything went smoothly. Solid entry.
I think betrayals may be a bit too rare. For most of my playtime it felt like a regular dungeon crawler. Still, nicely done.
thanks a lot for the comment, i tried giving some hints on what to do with the ? button. any recommendation what i should include to make it more clear?
at the moment the maximum betrayal rate per char is 15%
I think a small indication that the player is supposed to give a directional input once a room is selected on the minimap would be all you need. The game perfectly function as it is.
