Fun, but I couldn't figure out how to gain height, so I played the original and that was really fun!

First of all, the fact that you decided to demake your own game is admirable, but the fact that this is also a remake makes this a really special experience and shows your growth as a dev.
The added verticality and downward momentum mechanic makes the game more engaging than it's original. Having proper difficulty curve act as a tutorial of sorts because players won't have to worry about the moving trampoline.
The presentation is also improved. The even thinner ball emphasize the downward velocity. The new design of the blocks helps conserve screen real estate. The shaking effect of the blocks is back and I loved how the blocks eventually overlap with each other.
One negative I found is that the high score system is pointless. Players can "die" to reset their height and they shouldn't be punished for using this useful interaction. This didn't affect my enjoyment, I just ignored the high score entirely.
I sincerely hope you will have a bright future moving forward, 10/10.
Good game. I like the innovation but I think the pacing could be better. It's very frenetic and there's no room for a breather. I think if the blocks were shapes or colors (if not for the limited pallette), it'd also help. I'm not sure what all the numbers mean - maybe like the potential score but the player has to get rid of all of them anyway. I like the indicator that appears when the player is above the screen and the squishing of the player when the down key is pressed. Smart stuff.
Unique! Simple premise, very addictive once you get the hang of it!
Incredibly addictive! I could see people getting hooked to this game for days on end, trying to beat their own high score again and again. You've done a lot with very little, and details like the number shake and particles, the stretch and squash of the ball, and the leaning of the platform make it very satisfying to play. I think that's essential to making a simple game focused entirely on a single game loop like this enjoyable for a long time. It did take me a while to figure out how momentum's built, but besides that it's a fun mechanic.
Getting the ball to bounce was reallyyy tough. I couldn’t get it working consistently, but was likely just a skill issue on my part. Cool animations.
Had a bit of trouble getting the momentum at first but once I got the hang of it it's a pretty fun game. Could see myself playing it on my phone.
Very fun game and cute. I agree with some comments that the momentun it was a little bit hard, but perhaps im just bad at it haha congratulations, good game! rated
It's fun and juicy. I was happy to see that I don't have to start from the beginning when losing. It was pretty difficult though, especially the pressing 'down' for momentum (sometimes you'd get kind of stuck, from which you could hardly get out without dying).
Thanks for playing, I have been thinking to make a minimum height that you can be at. To prevent situations like those. But im unsure, because I think that this is part of the difficulty, and its a thing that you can master, after that You'r kinda always off-screen. Regardless, I noticed that you aren't the only one saying that, i'll thing about it. Hope You enjoyd playing :)
Really fun game ! The feel is incredible and the controls are intuitive ! There's so much game juice in it that I could drink it. And it's a game I could waste a lot of time on ! GG
Cool game! Really clear and satisfying, when you get the timing right! Feels a bit like having to juggle :D
I was terrible at timing the down-pressed, but it was great once I got the hang of it!
Ey, man thanks for playing and for the feedback :)
I will make it so that you have to press x to continue I kinda never thought about it, thanks for the idea.
Also if you Die you get lauched to a certain height, so you can gain momentum from there, and if you get too close to the platform and cant recover up, then You basically lose, its part of the difficulty scaling of the game.
Did you try the original?
