Description
Genres of the soundtrack - ambient folk (track 1), experimental electronic (track 2).
The concept of the game is some type of open-world RPG where the player explores the ruined world; both tracks are for the cutscenes. The plot is as follows: the angels and humans were living side by side happily for thousands and thousands of years, but then a disaster happened, ruining this world forever, leaving just a technological dystopia.
The first track shows the beautiful world before the disaster, and in the second track we see the angels in the ruined world, mourning their past lives, while the dystopian life happens around them.
DAW: Reaper
VSTs used: Vaults by Crowhill (lyre and bass descent sound), BBC Symphony Orchestra (flute), Cardinal Synth (modular synth), Tyrell by u-he (nostalgic 80s synth), MT-Power Drum Kit 2, Triaz Player (electronic drums), CUBE by Lunacy Audio (Angelic Voices and Arpeggio).

Hope you enjoy, looking forward to your feedback!
Theme

How does it fit the theme?
Picture theme fits the first track more, because it's more joyful, and the text theme fits both as the second track shows the world that is not the same anymore, but its inhabitants are the same

I like the change from ambient to electronic between the two tracks. It really doubles down on the feel of the story you're telling through the music. In the first track, the drums could be woven into the mix a bit more. The snare especially stands out from the rest - it sounds dry compared to everything else. Otherwise great job!
Thanks, appreciate your feedback!
I like that you introduced the synth in the first song as a way to tie it to the story of a peaceful world getting changed by technology.
I think the second song having more of that tech angle with a singular lute playing was a good choice. It gets dissonant which is fitting, but the hard, fast drums feel like it clashes somewhat too much with the really simple other instruments. I think they would have benefited from an additional song that really delved into the dystopia of it. Something that includes those fast drums but with a fast lyre melody to show how people were forced to change and adapt to the new world.
Thank you for such a detailed feedback!!
Absolutely loved it. I think the mixing could do some work in my opinion as I found the drums to be a bit too loud in both tracks and too punchy but composition wise I really loved it and it fits your description really well
Thanks, appreciate the feedback and the kind words!!
Part 1: you’ve got a very solid groove here. I love the driving, varying guitar (I think) line you’ve got going with the drums. Solid track!
Part 2: like the transitioning soundscape and some of the ambient textures you’ve got going on. I also don’t love the drum part. I do like parts of the first part of the drums, and I don’t think it’s a bad idea to get some dirty drums going on at that point. I do like some of the wubwub and crunch sounds you’ve got going there. The second part of the drums is jarring in a bad way, the snare is just too piercing and aggressive I think. Maybe a warmer but still dirty sound pack might work better? Overall enjoyed the track.
Thank you for such a detailed review! Made the drums so crunchy and distorted to show the technological dystopia, but I appreciate the opinion and can see why it can be jarring
Electronic drumkit in the end was a lil bit unexpected... I think it's distorted too much, but still sounds decent
