Description
Anagram of real location: Tromsø, Norway. This track is about the city that once held everything the future could have: technology, civilization, and tomorrow. But even the best things in the world eventually come to an end, and cold is the enemy that, unfortunately, ultimately wins.

Møstrom, Frozen Ruins of Tomorrow — what remains of the city. An echo of the past, with snow engulfing the potential, technology, future, and hope of everything that once was.

Lost in Time — there’s no telling how long this place has been frozen in time. Not a single soul remains in this forever-frozen place. No witnesses, just the cold wind blowing until time itself ends.

Theme

Songs of a Forgotten World

How does it fit the theme?
There is no living souls in my world, so the world is basically indefinitely paused in time, until time ends

Love the futuristic vibes, especially enjoyed the usage of reverbs and delays in Lost in time, it really added up to the atmosphere!!

thx for checking this out ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )

i just listened to your track, i think it's pretty neat. i do notice that the atmospheric pad audio sounds narrow, not sure if that's what you intended, but it could be spread out and sounds more... full... if that makes sense(my bad, i don't know music terms really well😅)

other than that, it's still neat though 👍👍

Great quality sound, could be used in a platformer futuristic cold game !

Developer

platformer? 👀

i... really cant think of aanother game with music like this tbh

i thought it is more movie-oriented but i guess that could work for games too ¯\¯\_(ツ)_/¯

still, thx for checking it out tho

I enjoyed listening to your work, and I think you really nailed the sound you were going for! I liked Møstrom, Frozen Ruins of Tomorrow because you achieve this big, spacious vibe by arpeggiating that lead in the space between the sparse drum hits. As I relistened to the soundtrack, I felt that Lost in Time became my favorite track. I enjoyed your use of mixed meter, the drum pattern, and your arrangement (dropping drums out, using higher registers, then bringing drums back). Maybe it’s my preference, but I’d consider looking into how the bass is mixed—it’s the right sound choice, but something feels off to me about either the level, frequency, or stereo spread. Your game concept is cool, and your tracks are effective at conveying the intended atmosphere, so good job on this project!

thx a lot for stopping by. its my first time making music that sounds cold, lost, and futuristic at the same time, as well with interpreting the theme(i really have a hard time with this, it always feel like im going off topic but im glad i stick with this til the end).

Lost in Time is my best attempt at weird time sig switching, from 15/8 to 11/4(basically 6/4+5/4 if that's even making sense, idk what the time sig is until i open fl studio😭) then 3/4 at the bell melody for the rest of the track.

i feel like the bass isnt... uh... bassy enough? maybe i had too much OTT but i really tried to avoid the same mistake i had with my previous projects where there's not enough high frq for it, which is strange because bass should only have low frq but i was wrong ¯\¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

glad you enjoyed it

short and sweet, especially a huge fan of lost in time! i really dig the moving bass contrasting with the high pitch synths/glockenspiel-like instrument, makes me feel quite cold considering the theme of your ost which fits super well. loved it!!!!
