Hey! Please make your way to our Discord server to claim your prize!
GOOD JOB!!!
I loved this game. I got the bad ending but I don't care. Our cat has been saved so that's all that matters. Most importantly, QUACK! 100/10. Highly recommended.
btw you used 4 colors D: (slider appears when text where you can see papers is too long)
Thank you for reviewing!
Only one thing, we didn't "use" 4 colors.
We just didn't realize that the slider stayed in its default color. If we had realized before the deadline we would've fixed it in a second, we didn't use a fourth colour to make the game.
yeah, I understand, maybe you can fix it as critical bug or ask in discord chat is it allowed
I'm too lazy read all text, but overall I liked your game, it's very good :D
Also, I’d like the camera movement to be faster, anyway it’s perfect
instructions unclear. My cat is now waging war on all dogs. Send help.
Everyone has their own battles in this world ahahah
I absolutely love this game! I really liked how clear the initial instructions were, but then you realize you can completely ignore them and make your own choices. I think it perfectly captures the theme of this jam. And the cat is adorable ❤️
Thank you so much! We really wanted to make the player feel like their choices were free but mattered in the future of the Nation. So I'm happy that translated well in the gameplay. Ramon was a clever marketing move by our part when ❤️
Bravo! I love the papers please vibes. The cat is the icing on the cake. Great use of dither!
Also, the rubber duck is a good nod; quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack
We really leaned into the papers please mood, we thought that it fitted really well the theme and used it as strong inspiration.
The duck is kind of our signature eheh
You got me interested when you said “cat” :)
The idea is great, the visuals are pretty cool, and the overall theme is funny a nice reality check. I liked the little things like arranging my desk and all the notes and decorations in the documents and backgrounds. I agree with the other commenter below that maybe there is a little but too much of reading. I have to admit that in my game I removed a lot of the reading and I think it could had benefited from additional details that are now hidden. Finding a balance there is difficult. I still enjoyed it.
A couple comments.
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and for taking the time to play our game! ❤️
Regarding the dithering and the 3-color rule, we deliberately moved some of the text outside the shader because otherwise it became difficult to read. However, in all those cases we made sure to use the exact same color code, so we didn't actually break the 3-color rule.
The only exception is probably the damn scrollbar in the articles, which completely slipped under our radar during all the testing sessions we did. D:
It's incredible, the art and music are so great, and I really like the papers please style gameplay. I also really like how they've incorporated the theme.
Thank you so much! Really glad you liked it 🌸
Art looks really great. Gives super papers please vibes. Unfortunately there is an overwhelming amount of text that it hits the player over the head with. It is good text but just so much.
And in the approval folder there is sometimes a scroll bar with wrong colors.
