Description
The description of the project lol:
The music is intended for a "credits scene" as per Precision Level 1 The fictional game in question is close to the one in Precision Level 4, which is what I initially wished to project.

This song was created hastily and was subject to "wacky" procrastination

I used acoustic/synth in tandem as a hasty attempt at blending "time travel" and "steampunk" into one motif. The song begins with a leitmotif too.

I haven't had much experience with the "steampunk" hemisphere of instruments/music which is why the instruments were mostly ones I already had.

I like how varied your instrumentation is and how you are switching up the rhythms while keeping the general tempo and feeling intact. I am going to listen more to your track to learn some drum programming from that.

I feel a little let down from the end - the violins are not really going anywhere and then suddenly it's over. Also, around 0:50, I get the impression you start throwing all your ideas into the mix without much development. Is that the point at which wacky procrastination set in, you just left it for later and later never came? Because each of thes sections after that point still totally works, if it were a little longer and with a little more elbow grease to lead them into each other.

You are totally showing what you can do in the beginning and given enough time, I'm certain the rest of your piece would have worked out just as cool.

(Submission 7/29 - "Very... Very Rushed Track" by AkiraDev)

After listening, I have a couple criticisms to make and I have a couple positives.

First of all, the guitar soundfont sounds pretty "stock" and lacks meaningful depth. Polishing the guitar sound would definitely help the intro. The meter shift at 1:06 was pretty jarring, and the drums stood out to me as out of place considering the wet reverb compared to the dry background. If you blend the elements together, then they can reinforce instead of detract and set aside. The ending is... not entirely great, but ChrisHQ already pointed out what to fix so I'm not going to just repeat what you've already heard. One more thing: I felt like the master was too quiet.

Now to the positives:

Although you mentioned that the track was unpolished and barren, it does fulfill my intense desire to seek out experimental and innovative music amongst the noise of generically-written pop songs designed for the full intention of maximizing their revenue. Your piece was a breath of fresh air because not often do I get to hear music with imperfections, because imperfections can actually write a piece! The track is very light-hearted and fun to listen to!

Keep making music and keep improving, because you definitely have the intentions and craftsmanship! Thank you Akira!

For a song created hastily, it has some good vibes, I really liked it. As you said, there is some clumsiness, it not fully "polished", but it gives a good sensation and somehow a nice and interesting piece. The firsts 50 seconds are really soft, I like the contrast between the soft and smooth violin and the heavy bells and brass (I think), it's like I'm wandering in a port or in the streets near of the sea at sunset.

The drop at 50 sec is nice and fits a credits song indeed. I find the acceleration at 1:06 sudden, a little disturbing as it feels it comes out of nowhere. The ending is also brutal, I think if you had built it up for a few seconds more with adding more instruments to drag it then to end it on a conclusion, it would have been a great ending.

But this is really a cool idea with good vibes, I hope you'll take time to polish it after the jam, would be too bad to give up a nice music !
