Design Statement
the theme track suggested me whimsy, exploration and wonder. i wasn't sure at first about what to build, so i went with what felt easy and achievable in the time frame.

I remember playing flOw on my browser about 20 years ago, and i felt in love with it, loved the concept of Flower. And Journey has been on my mind since I first saw it, same with Sky.

What I tried to build was a short experience that somehow resembled what Thatgamecompany does.
I didn't achieve the fluidity of the controls, or interesting gameplayi was hoping for, but i focused on the visuals and i felt like i accomplished my goal.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
extract the contents of the ZIP file and run the EXE file.
the game may take a while to run after launching it while it compiles the shaders.

controls:
A and D steer the boat
W and S rotate the sail, but it's not really necessary to do this.
ESC exits the application

This game looks really pretty, I wasn't able to run the exe file though :(

I watched through the walkthrough though and it looks gorgeous, if there's a fix please let me know I'd love to give it a shot.

Thanks!

I'm working on a lighter build using Opengl instead of Vulkan and simplified shaders.

I'll try to get a non-jam build on my drive for anyone that can't play it and want to try. not sure how that works with the rules might need to wait until the voting is over.

Thanks! I'm very glad you liked it. I got some feedback from people that couldn't play it and was really scared. :)
