That was so good! Even though it was short, I got engrossed in the dialogue between the two characters and even made me pause for a while in the side-quester(?) route. Also, your art is very lovely!
Loved it! Definitely poses food for thought and the art style and aesthetic fitted perfectly. You captured the essence perfectly such that at times I was like "This is waaaaay to accurate!" :)
This was a very nice game!! Sure it's quite short but it really hits a bunch of interesting themes, the stuff I enjoy thinking about! This concept, about efficiency vs going off the set path is so interesting to me, reminds me a bit of some of the themes explored in undertale and deltarune. The art is also very nice, i especially like the design of the side-quester. Unsure if it's intentional, but they feel slightly uncanny and off, like a devil tempting you to break the rules, it's very cool! You did great!
Aaa thankyou so much for playing! c:
Yes yes, that's exactly what I was hoping to explore with the theme! Do we do things just to get to the end? What makes you happy? The world can be so outcome-focused today, I thought it was a fun thought-experiment to discuss that a little bit in-game c: Ah, I'm so happy it came across!
I am super inspired by undertale and deltarune! They are my favourites, ah! I'm really glad that the 'explore' character came across as a little uncanny; I feel like it can feel a little bit that way sometimes, when you are taking the time to side-step your normal routine. To enjoy and explore a little, you know?
Ah thankyou so much again; for the thoughtful comment, and for playing the game! c: I am so new to these game jams, but it's such a fun way to express yourself creatively, and to be inspired by others! C:
I enjoyed this! The writing was enjoyable and your art is lovely.
Oh my gosh thankyou so much for the kind words!
The art was so strange for me to make; I am so used to taking my time with illustrations. But for this jam, there was no time! So I scribbled something together haphazardly ahaha
I am so glad that you enjoyed it, ah! C:
