Artwork is amazing! Figuring out how to respec on the fly to take out certain enemies felt kind of counterintuitive but I really love the idea! Great job!

Love the artwork - took a second to figure out the flow of game but started to really enjoy it once it got going. Kept things feeling fast paced. I ran into a bug with the first shield battle - I was able to move around in the skill tree and select Enchant, but the battle wouldn't progress with any button presses.
Love the game and keep up the great work!
Thanks for checking it out! That wasn't technically a bug, but I would say it's an "onboarding bug" in the sense that we could have taught the player how to proceed in a more step-by-step manner. We put a note on our front page for how to move forward with it, but I think the best approach would be more intuitive.
The art was good, and I liked the core gameplay loop. My main pieces of feedback are that the respeccing in battle was a bit tedious, especially navigating through the menus in time to prepare for the battle right away. It could be nice if you implemented a "start battle" button, to allow you to prepare for the enemies you are about to fight. I also got stuck on the beetle king prompt and couldn't proceed. Overall, good job on submitting a game for the jam, and this one was fun to play!
The art is adorable! I played it several times: first time failed during the shield phase.. Then read the description, and then played again=) The mechanics is cool, it makes your brain work, constantly making choices, rebuilding your skill tree during the combat, it was really fun!
The art and music were really good and the focus on having players reset skills helps change up the gameplay. To improve it would help by adding a start button or timer for the next encounter.
the fighting and upgrading systems ar awsome.
please also try and rate my game:

Nice ideas and cute graphics. Main hero is adorable :3 I really liked this fight mechanics
I initially thought the combat might be turn based and thought I'll take my time going through the skill tree. But Then I realized it was actually real time and started to panic a bit lol.
Great concept and execution. Really love the graphics and the audio. Good job!
Really cute looking and fun game! At first I was not sure what to think about the respecing of your skills, but now I like it. It makes the battles more dynamic and fun. Good job!
Very cool real time combat game. I really thought that the art + sound were very well done. I also like the amount of strategy involved for each battle from the resetting the talent tree mechanic. Thank you for posting in the thread! I had a great time with this one!
I like this game alot, really interesting mechanics and visually very cohesive, nice work!
Nice, fun concept! I really enjoyed the real-time skill switching, though it felt a bit overwhelming at first. The art is super charming, and I liked the challenge curve. Some minor polish on the tutorials would help smooth out the experience, especially around the Beetle King. Overall, a very enjoyable entry with great potential!
Hey!
Cute little game. At first I thought re-spec'ing my character freely is kinda broken, but it feels very fun and given the limited amount of skill points I think it's intentional. I had couple of problems with the game's tutorials, sometimes I wasn't able to get past them even though I do them word by word. I wasn't able to continue fighting the king beetle after unlocking enchant, for example. Overall though, really strong entry!
All the code and the art was made from scratch?! That's crazy, well done!
Thanks for playing! Its definitely intentional, and some of the later fights past the king beetle will have you swapping tech trees again and again if you want to get a high score. Sorry to hear about the beetle, his shields element is actually leaf, which requires fire to break. The intention was to have to switch to another element after to do damage, but that was before enchant did 0 damage.
The concept of rebuilding the skill tree in real time while in battle is really creative, feels a bit overwhelming at start tho
Visuals are pretty and consistent
Good job
