A short and branching experience!
This was a very interesting game, and I had fun seeing so many unique endings. I think the writing is great, but some of the other parts of the game could be improved. My main suggestion has already been stated by other commentors: allow the player to speed up/skip to the end of dialogue. Other than that, this is a pretty solid jam game :)
The game is interesting, but I would like to see a bit more art in the game.
The storytelling in this was really great!
good job on this entry!
I pushed lucas out of the way great game i liked ending 3 alot Aswell haha and good sound track
That was a hugely entertaining game! I think my favourite ending was 4. Oops...! Echoing what others have said, I think there should be an option to speed up or skip the text animation, especially as some lines of dialogue are quite long. Great entry, it was super funny.
Who knew, a black screen with white text could be this fun to go through?
The story is coooool...
Very nice! The story is cute, I had fun making David embarrass himself XD
very cool game
could you rate it?
Sure
thanks :3
Nice idea, the endings were really crazy! I particularly liked the one where we find out we live in a simulation lol. I'd probably add an option to speed up the dialogues but apart from that the game turned out really nice :)
I'd appreciate if you could take the time to try my game as well <3
You have wonderful cell art for Itch, but no in the game! Don't hesitate to draw pics, you are good at that
I just ran out of time :P
Poor david...
Yay, I had a normal day, then I made a friend. David had a great life. Not bad.
Really cool game idea! I loved being able to pretty much decide everything about David, haha. Nice job!
nice idea. i do think it would be nice if you did more visuals but a good concept
cool game! I wish there could be a trace back function to go back to the last choice made. (probably present like a decision tree? idk)
At least for my game, I wouldn’t really do that. I like it when your decision is final, and you live with what you get. That’s what(I think) most games like mine are.
I think this is a really good example of how to make a good game with maximum focus on one specific thing. If you're going to make a very simple game with little gameplay and no visuals, the writing should really stand out, and I think this game does! I had a really fun time playing, even though it was super simple. And I'm generally not a fan of CYOA type games, but I liked it a lot. I didn't play through all the endings but I was surprised how many I enjoyed reading through. Visuals could be nice but I don't think lacking them takes away from this game at all. Text skip might be nice but the game isn't *that* long without it. A lot of people are saying the music is too loud but I think it's moreso that the music, especially the lead, is dry. I think a lowpass filter or some effects such as reverb or a touch of delay would go a long way towards making it sound less harsh, especially with it being so repetitive!
Nice game with many choices but would definitely benefit with some visuals although I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. Out of curiosity, how many endings are there?
13 endings :3
