I read your game's premise and tried to understand the concept you wanted to convey. As far as I could grasp, your game involved players being stuck in loops of victory or even score loops that we had to "break," right? If that's the case, it's a really interesting concept. I was curious to see how the game would unfold.
However, like others, I unfortunately couldn't fully understand the main mechanic, even after multiple attempts. An initial tutorial explaining the interface would be extremely helpful in this case. Even a few instructions on the game's page would make things much clearer and easier to grasp.
The sound effects seem fitting for the game, although I felt they were relatively loud (but that might just be my impression, especially since the game doesn’t have background music).
The artwork is interesting and quite beautiful; I found it unique in a way. I think it fits the theme you were going for, though I can't say much more since I didn't fully understand the game.
For future jam submissions, having some kind of tutorial, even if just in text form, would be very helpful. Even listing the controls would make a big difference. Sometimes, as developers, we test our own games so much that we start thinking they’re easy and intuitive to play, but I believe this is one of the biggest traps we can fall into—I've fallen into it myself several times, thinking my game was easy to understand, only to realize players were slightly confused.
That said, please don't take this as harsh criticism—far from it. I understand your perspective, and I hope this feedback is useful for you in the future. Wishing you success in your journey as a developer!
Same here...what do I have to do :-)
I just pushed some buttons. The idea and art looked ok. The SFX was a bit loud.
A tutorial would be very handy :-)!
But you did manage to finish and upload a game. That is very good! Keep up that good work for your next jam and games.
I do not understand what I am supposed to do. I think I'm supposed to randomly pick a number 1,2,3 that would defeat the boss. More feedback I think is what the game needs to progress further.
I have to echo the sentiment in the other comments, i like the idea but i feel like i am clueless what to do or how to do it. A bit more extensive tutorial would be welcome
Solid entry to the jam
Although you included a ‘tutorial’ page at the start, I found it difficult to understand what to do just by reading it. For this type of game, an interactive tutorial might work better to guide the player step by step. Because I didn’t fully grasp the mechanics, I got frustrated pretty quickly... Additionally, the clicking sounds felt quite distracting, especially since there was no other SFX or music to balance the audio experience. I’d love to see a walkthrough to get a better idea of how the game is meant to be played. Looking forward to see how you refine it!
an initial tutorial would be useful, for the rest I managed to understand after a while and it's interesting, I really like the graphic part, and also the general idea, nice wor
I kinda like it, but maybe i'm too stupid to understand it, i like the visual and sound anyway.
It's my first and humble attempt at original sound effects: nothing crazy but thank you for complimenting it
The game has a lot of moving parts so, after checking other submissions, you are more than welcome to try it again and figure it out (although I definitely should have made a tutorial lmao)
I did get the basic mechanics of identifying which player is currently on the level, but I don't quite get how can I input my guess. I would like to play again knowing this so I can enjoy it a bit more.
Graphics are cool! They feel smooth and colorful.
Thanks for the comment! I didn't expect people to compliment visuals so much, that's very nice.
In the game you need to use the knowledge of the player's type to give them appropriate items. For example, if they are Skilled, you don't want to waste Tier 3 items on them to defeat the boss (they won't pick them up anyway).
The game has a lot of moving parts, so I wish I had time to make a tutorial of some sort ^^" consider it an arcade-like experience where figuring out strategies is a part of fun lol ;)
The art looks really cool! I wish there was a bit more instruction on how to play because I really didn't understand how to use the game. Overall, you did a great job though, keep up the nice work :D
Thank you! This game will definitely be a lesson in having proper communication with players about mechanics. Game design is tricky like that (really fun tho)
Very good.
