I loved the soundtrack :) really relaxing game! The bubbles coming out of the submarine were adorable!
Thank you😊.
The particles for sub movement are great! I think a little inertia on the sub would feel good, but that would make catching any trash even harder. Perhaps you could add collision to the seafloor and allow it to be picked up there, too? Solid entry that with a bit more polish could be really good!
Thanks for the advice. I think I will make this game more polished and make it a better playable version.
BTW thanks for playing 😊.
Couldn’t really collect much in terms of pollution - I think a smaller game area would have helped a lot to build out the core mechanic - the art is cute though, and the ambience is definitely there musically. I didn’t like the movement sfx with the bubbles as much, but the rest sounds good! Thank you for making it.
I tried to fix the movement sfx but I didn't find any tutorial about it so I left it as it is. Yes the playing area should be smaller. I thought to make it as a exploration type of area where you need to find and collect waste but I think I lost my way somewhere in making it😅.
BTW thanks for playing 😊.
Ah, that's fair. Some ways to fix it include - importing it into a DAW and doing a simple pitch correction. In Godot, I'm pretty sure there is a pitch correction/change slider as well (I just saw it in passing but can look into it later sometime if you like). I'm new to coding, but these are the things I want to learn how to do too! I hope making the game gave you some nice reflections to ponder on! And you're welcome. ^^
I am also amateur in coding and making games but trying to learn new things daily.
I found the music pleasant to listen to, though didn’t quite make sense for an ocean navigating game. Maybe it is the music you are listening to in the little ship :). I am on a mac so couldn’t download the exe to play and the performance on the web build was pretty rough. It crashed when I got to about 15% pollution. I am curious is the goal to last as long as possible? I enjoyed the pixel art, especially the colorful coral.
The goal was actually to keep the pollution meter below 100%. Sorry the game crashed in the browser for you and I didn't make mac build because I don't have a mac and it will be difficult for me to get a test run for the game in mac. Thanks for playing 😊.
Very nice
Like the environment you set up here the background and the fish are cool. It'd be cool if there were the ability to upgrade your ship every x waste collected, and if the pollution sped up at the same time.
I wanted to make the pollution increase with time but I wasted too much time on making a feature which is not even in the game.
BTW Thanks for playing 😊
very relatable lol. great game!
Really cool use of the theme!
Thanks 😊
I actually really liked the art and music sense in this. Great use of color. I had a hard time finding the pollution though and noticed that it looked like the bottles actually fell through the bottom of the map.
Yeah bottles are going through the bottom is a big which I missed and noticed very late😅.
BTW Thanks for playing 😊
