Awesome! The art was fantastic, the pacing was good and the vibes were chilling! Nice choice of palette for the jam and great use of the theme and limitation in the narrative. Perfect entry!

This was awesome. I especially enjoyed the art. Really well done!

My ears broke, thanks! Graphics are great but for me it was spam spacebar and go side to side. Also the character could be a little faster.

There's a sprint button (shift)

That was fantastic, visuals were charming, and I was absolutely sucked into the game! Great job!

One of my favorite entries for sure! Great job with the immersion and the style

Easily one of the best entry for this jam. I like the story, and the presentation you made. It is soo good! I can see your game in the top 5.

You nailed it with the artstyle! This was a really neat game overall.

Took me a bit to figure out i needed to interact with the bag on the counter but then i could complete the rest of the Story

Submitted(+1)

overall great but man visually it's like done done, no more polish needed. Enjoyed this a lot

Submitted(+1)

Wow, you did a great work! The game is good polished. Atmospheric visual, good sounds. And it was scary)
I like it. Thanks you.

Cool concept and solid sounds; the slow walk speed would be my chosen nitpick!

dang this game is awesome the suspense and i have a theory A GAME THEORY rip matpat what if the father was attacked by the frog and assimilated into its flesh like what was done to the kid in the end thats why it sounded like the kids dad and why it knew all the ways inside and outside and its behaviour implies a predatory nature its skilled at its craft scaring and stalking its prey and when it finds a great moment it corners the prey and assimilates it into its flesh was i right about the theory? if yes please reply oh and also the player movement is a bit slow and thats all

Developer

yeeeeeeees i wanted people to come up with theories about this, i won't say what i exactly had in mind with the story but you got a lot of points right

and yes i will bump up the walk speed a little

thanks

This was awesome! I loved the suspense. The first window break actually made me jump. And the creature was really fascinating. That last reveal of its true form and it trying to mimic the kid's speech was terrifying. Amazing game!

Well, it's clear that you're an expert craftsman. I knew from the beginning, with the way the color palette looked in the main menu. This game was just super impressive all around, and feels very polished.

I actually jumped up when I saw the frog at the door but then I laughed because it was so patently absurd. Striking that balacnce between funny and scary is crazy impressive, so I applaud you for that.

Furthermore, the color palette and pixel art was seriously just splendid. The way the faux lighting was sort of "vertex-painted" into some assets looked crazy good ngl. And also, the dialogue system was really satisfying too. Very tactile.

Although I did notice a small bug when encountering the frog in the last scene: I accidentally managed to "look out" the window mid "boss encounter" and triggered the "I don't want him to see me" dialogue while the frog man was literally splitting himself wide open to consume me. Just a very minor anachronism.

Very solid entry, and unlike certain AI-generated comments I genuinely took the time to write this just to tell you that you did an amazing job. Followed and rated, well done.

Thank you, all the compliments and criticism means a lot.

And I had a feeling it was possible to glitch the final cutscene i just never tested it ;-;

should be a simple fix anyway thank you for your time :)))

Oh yeah 100%, not even really worth mentioning I just thought it's something that I could easily miss in one of my own games. Splendid job either way!

By thunder! This game had me sweating.

What I Loved:

That menu? Rain, ambiance, and a bopping logo—like a lullaby before the dissection.

Writing was snappy and sharp, no fluff, just flavorful!

Pixel art hit the GBA sweet spot. Colorful, detailed, perfectly restrained.

Interactive bits (like the window) gave it life. Frankenstein would be proud.

Sound? Minimal but creepily effective. I braced for jumpscares, and oh, did they come!

The ending? Deliciously unsettling.

Room for Enhancement:

Movement was a slog. Give me a jog button! I felt like a sedated frog on a rainy day.

Conclusion: A creepy-cute concoction of dread and charm. Would absolutely dissect again.
