Prison of the Mind - Damn... Good start! Bass, synth, someone's breathing, tiny barely audible percussion delay sounds... It feels like the bass/guitar becomes some kind of organ (And yes, to be honest, this breathing... it... um... gives me dirty thoughts...)

The Fight is Done - OK. The dirty thoughts have evaporated! (help, this woman is threatening me with her voice)

Time to Fight Through - A crazy violin has captured a woman's consciousness, and now she's trying to kill me after all...

Solid work! I liked it ^_^

P.S. Rawr :>

Sounds good. I like the immersive elements, such as the heavy breathing and those creepy sounds. Quite a dark submission, but also a little bit funny one as well with its choir (It may be just me, but they sound... well kind of goofy). As for the compostition and the emotional landscape - fantastic! My favourite one is "Time to Fight Through" - feels like anime, haha.
"The Fight is Done" is serene and "ascension-like", so good joob. (I like those strings around 1:25 - they are cool!).
You did great!

Gosh, I can't help but deeply appreciate the absolute skill you showed in composing with your instruments. The guitar in Time to Fight Through was mesmerizing, and makes me realize just how much potential I'm losing not tapping into it. My only constructive feedback would be fine tuning the vocals in The Fight is Done in the future (but ofc this was 2-day jam). Big thumbs up!

Great soundtrack, fits the theme very well with the progression between the various songs and the instrumentation works really well (especially the singing on the second track) !
Maybe I would have liked the drums being more impactful on the second and third tracks to add a bit more punch to it all, but it still works nicely so good job !

You didn't need a long description to explain how this fit the theme. I can just tell by the songs alone they encapsulate perfectly the theme. Amazing work!

Some super cool stuff here, gives me a lot of classic arcade vibes. Would have loved to see you experiment some more with some less traditional instruments and arrangements like you did in the first track, but the others still hit the mark pretty well.

Wow I really loved this submission tmayato! I think all the tracks serve the sense of being a prisoner in the game really well, especially the melodies that you've got in every track, they feel very emotional and the instrumentation gives a real sense being inside the mind with the interesting vocals going on. Maybe in some places the dry choir feels partly too dry? But it's a really solid submission!

I love how you write the choir. the soprano solo is remarkable. all of tracks are Exciting and unpredictable. Nicely done.

Fantastic work, I saw you mentioned Final Fantasy in the tags of the SoundCloud release and I can definitely hear the inspiration! All of these tracks are really well composed, I love the melody in The Fight is Done. My favourite has to be Prison of the Mind though, the instrument choices are really unique and it has a great oppressive atmosphere to it. I love the breathing sfx too!

The first track was my favorite. The sounds design, the tone, and the mixing were really good and had a distinct feel to it. It reminded me a bit of portal 2 in its sound design and composition. The synth voices in The Fight is Done were pretty solid, getting any synthetic acoustic instrument to sound good is difficult so good job on that, especially given the time constraints. The composition of the last track was good, but the drums are kinda buried in the mix.

All 3 tracks were solid. I enjoyed the whole vibe of the first track so much, I wish you made the whole soundtrack expanding the concept of that track's sound design and mood. Great work!

Very cool! 'Prison of the Mind' creates an awesome mood and tone that really reflects being a prisoner of one's mind!

Also, 'Time to Fight Through' reminded me of old anime songs, which fits extremely well for an RPG!

Great work!

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the little touch of being short of breath on Prison of the Mind, such a small detail but it enhances the storytelling that much for me! The Fight is done is good but there seems to be an issue with one of the instruments having some delay, I guess you might have played it live without changing the negative delay in the soft, but it seems it was too late and was kind of distracting for me to be honest. Now composition-wise I really enjoyed the first and second track more than the second one just because I felt they had a little bit more variety to them and less longer notes. Finally other than mixing that I guess like most everyone, we didn't have the time to really do, I did enjoy the OST and specially the third track for the JRPG epicness and the first one was just reaaaally smart! Good job!

Def. getting that RPG vibe. Nicely done.

Nice work. I really liked the progressions through your seconds piece as you layer on different voices into the piece.

i particularly love the evolving arrangement in "Time to Fight Through"; battle themes are so much fun to compose, and i really get that good ol' JRPG feel from your approach! i'd love for the drums on that track to be even more powerful to really add to the driving momentum! the concept of each of your three tracks is nice and distinct, and i'm curious as to what kinds of videogame settings/scenarios you envisioned for them as you were composing? :0

that breathing (?) sound in "Prison of the Mind" is a nice touch! though it could sound a bit too synthetic? if it is breathing, maybe it's just that i'd expect to hear both the inhale and exhale of a person

Loved your contribution! The arrangements with the vocals were superb. Good job

Hi there! Overall, this project is quite the vibe and fits the setting of your game! I do think that the drums could punch through the mix more as it's quite buried compared to the other instruments, but otherwise, I can see the direction!

Submitted

I think the JRPG setting is well illustrated, everything works pretty well. Maybe the third track could be more dynamic with a stronger mastering to really pop ;) !

With regards to Prison of the Mind; some really interesting timbres in this - the choice of patches is great for really capturing the attention of the listener. The live instrumentation does a good job of adding some organic drive to the piece. As it progresses it grows more and more oppressive, which I dig a lot. By the time it ends it feels exhausting, and speaking of - that breathing sample does some great work to sell this feeling.

The Fight is Done changes both the pace and voicings immediately. Right as I was beginning to lock into how I felt about this track, it began to grow a little more uncertain. The live guitars and percussion help give it a pulse and drive it forward, but even still I wasn't sure how I wanted to feel. It became decidedly more hopeful and more of a relief as it drew to the final section. This kind of ambiguity in evocative composing is hard to come by, so I have to give major props for that.

Finally, Time to Fight Through does a good job of settling into the hero battle motif. Orchestration here is good, layered nicely and with just the right amount of motion. Once again the live guitars here make for an interesting texture and add some organic nuance.

Great submission - a lot of different feelings here. Production was good throughout - my only nitpick would be having the guitars fit a little cleaner into the mix. As a whole though, this is solid. Best of luck!

Very nice, I like the contrast on all the pieces, they are different but you kept some elements that makes the album cohesive.  I love the intro motifs, its very simple but I think the sound you used is very creative. well done :)
