-I loved the style: colors, assets, music, action and impact sfx - it felt appropriate with the mechanics of the game and quite distinct (i.e., you're a frog named froj).
-I wished there was a charge bar, or some sort of visual indicator for how much force will be put into the height as well as distance for the upcoming jump.
-Would you consider the first few obstacle courses being pushed back, replaced with more forgiving obstacles? I couldn't get to 20%.

First off, I hated jump king and couldn't get past the first few stages. I probably hated it because I was shit at the controls. I was able to beat getting over it, because the controls were easier to master. Jump King had really good art and atmosphere though, so I was pretty desperate to get to the top to see all the art. I guess you managed to replicate the controls, but there isn't really a reason to want to go to the top like in jump king, which is why I rage quit just a few minutes in.

I wanted to get to the hot frog at the top, but I couldn't get past the bounce pads. The walls are bouncier than the bounce pads! Great twist on Jump King. Maybe switch it up and make him stick to walls?

I played Nolgorb’s Ordeal for 2-3 hours though I really suck at these games, but Froj was bit too annoying for me. I think you should start with some really easy platforms, as the control scheme is hard enough. I felt that platform 3 was already requiring near-perfect input; and if you’re in fact supposed to go over those 3 little platforms below the big one, for steps 4-6, then that’s a couple very precise jumps, basically as hard as it gets.

But it’s fun that you bounce between walls, I really missed that in Nolgorb’s.

I only managed to reach arround 18%. I feel like this game is missing an animation windup for the frog's jump. It charging up the jump while I hold the Space Bar.

  • Agreed with the other feedback that it's hard to tell the charge of the jump.
  • It was also annoying having to hold left/right first to guarantee the direction because doing it after pressing up would make you go straight up. There should be a grace period like coyote jumping is to edge jumps.
  • Also, there were a few jumps that felt like they charged too fast? Maybe it's just me but there were some were I wasn't holding the charge that long yet I went flying. Just retried it, I don't think this applies because the charge window is so small.
  • Got to 10% and got stuck on the overhang above the three small platforms. I ended up ragequitting, so mission accomplished?
  • It is easy enough to get into playing the game.
  • Froj is cute.
  • Wondering if there should be a minimum jump? Like adjusting left or right should be a risk but there were times where the jumps were so negligible that I basically didn't move.

It's hard to read the frog’s charge level. A cue or effect would go a long way to avoid guessing

I agree with islandware. A bit too opaque rn

it'd be nice if there were more visual feedback on the frog to know how strong the jump is going to be
