Are you using any third party assets?
I used a generalised projectile spawner script I wrote for projectile spawning in several other projects. Apart from that everything was made during the jam.

An interesting take on bullet hell, as the player doesn't take damage from the bullets directly. The tutorial does a great job of teaching the mechanics of this game! One minor annoyance is the grab order of the ingredients, especially with yellow at the bottom. Oftentimes, it would inexplicably grab the ingredients above it, though it is not an issue with the generous timer. I love the diegetic UI design, and I will take note of it for my next game.

Thanks for the feedback - the yellow tiles are deliberately at the back as part of the difficulty curve but I will happily concede I never quite managed to get the grab mechanic to work flawlessly and sometimes nearby tiles higher on the z axis would be grabbed.

Very unique, really interesting concept and the audio was really nice. Made me feel like I was in an enchanted forest mixing up potions!

This was amazing, nice one :D

Pretty cool concept.

The rune mixing mechanic is quite fun and trying to get the one you actually need in the pool on the left can sometimes be more challenging than it seems at first, but it works.

The only thing that left me a bit confused was the recepies top and bottom segment, while playing i got that you have to make the top one every time but didn’t get why there was another one displayed.

Other than that its a fun little chill game. Good job ^^

Thanks for the feedback - you're not the only one confused by the recipe bar so I should probably update that after the jam. Each line was a recipe, you are able to complete either.

I see, i thought you could only complete the top line but then again i can be a bit dumb at times so this might be on my part :p

Not much a bullet hell entry, but cool mechanic though

Developer

Yeah, I went for a less serious take on the genre

Loved our original this is and a fresh take on the theme, very fun gameplay, simple but addictive, very nice job! :)

Very well done and a unique twist on a bullet hell, i really like the papa's feel of having to get my cauldron recipes made in time before the timer runs out. And boy does the difficulty really ramp up! Great work!

This is such a cool concept! And very well polished and fun. Would be nice to be able to click something to see the tutorial again after it's done, unless I just missed where I can. I clicked through it too fast initially and had to restart to go through it again.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback - I did consider during development adding a reset tutorial button - never ended up getting round to it unfortunately.

Loved playing it! Beautiful looking assets and was a very innovative merging of 2 very different genres, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing - same back at your game regarding innovation.

I really thought this was a unique take on a bullet hell! It was perfectly challenging and gave you pride to play it well lol. I think it would have been nice to have some type of indication that you grabbed an ingredient like it getting slightly bigger or being highlighted to show what you grabbed. Overall super solid!

Developer(+1)

An area of polish I missed, thanks for pointing it out - I may update that after the jam.

I really liked the bullet hell idea you implemented in the game!

I beat the 8 handcrafted levels and 2 hard randomised ones, although one was easy (all different colours) and the other one in several attempts which kills the purpose so it wasn't glorious.

The game is original and works well, I enjoyed it.

Very fun idea! Quite unique!

Did the grave mistake of skipping the tutorial xD Reloaded and did the tutorial again and kinda understood how it works. I must stay it's very mechanically complex, at least for my smooth brain lol. Thats just a personal preference, I loved your take on the Bullethell genre aswell. Good job.

Interesting take on the bullet hell genre. find luigi meets... recipes? Cool idea, executed pretty well!

A very fun game with an interesting take on a bullet hell. It did take me a second to realize that there were two options for recipes (it may have been mentioned in the tutorial, I don't remember LOL) and I kept getting confused trying to make all the ingredients green instead of just one set, but once I did, it was a fun time all around. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Honestly can't remember if I mentioned that in the tutorial. May try and improve the readability of that after the jam. Thanks for playing and the feedback
