I made a video of your game! It's at the 2:57 mark of this video.

Developer

Wow! Thank you so much. Video liked and channel subscribed! I'm so happy you managed to figure out all the puzzles and make it to the end even in the game's unfinished state. Really was so satisfying to see someone play it through. Thanks so much for always doing this and best of luck in your future games! Cheers!

The visual effects from a card being destroyed is so amazing. :o Great work!

Developer

Thank you! All credit to the VictrisGames who made the Slicing extension!

Loved the idea although I couldn't understand how am going to play the card and what help did the Sultan did he didn't do that damage with the cards. I think this could turn into something amazing. My best wishes in the jam and the future of the game.

Yes, unfortunately I couldn't finish the game and add all the polish I wanted to give all the players a good experience. Still appreciate you playing what you did! Cheers!

Tricky, but well-made. Nice work, Great game!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

It is a tricky game, but once I figured out how to solve the puzzles in each of the rounds, I enjoyed playing it. Great job on your game!

Developer

Thank you so much for putting in the time to get to the end, even though there was no restart button or hints! Means a lot!

Nice yugioh parody, screw heart of the cards time to cheat rofl!

Thank you so much for playing! Keep on cheatin'!

is a nice puzzles games more than a card duel game. You have to be really clever and breack the rules in some many ways. I don't want to mess the experience of any one, that aja moment... the clue is beatable. Needs like mouse hint and doesn't start from the beginning, But was a really nice game. For real, just a little overwhelming.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes, I would have loved to include some more robust hints to improve the player experience but didn't end up having the time. Glad you were able to get have that aha moment even without it though! Cheers!

Good idea but I never figured it out, my team and i were just discussing making a card game. My two cents is now hint on how to beat it, might get you more ratings.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I totally agree. A tutorial and hint system was on the cards, but I couldn't get to it in time. Lesson in scope of the project for a 9 day jam learned!

??? Lost but then nothing

Developer

Yes, I didn't have time to implement a lot of those aspects of the game (title screen, options, tutorials etc.). Game's still quite unfinished, I hate to say!

Very cool idea. Took me a really long time to figure out how to play though and I think I broke it a few times 😅

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! It's definitely held together with duct tape and paper clips in the state it's currently in, so I appreciate you playing through what you did. I think the tutorial and UI is in many ways the most important part of Game Jam games, but I couldn't fit it in before the deadline this go around, unfortunately.

And I'm glad you liked the idea--I felt like your game was a design after my own heart as well, so I'm glad you could appreciate my project.

Fun idea! It brought back some great memories of playing Yu-Gi-Oh! cards with my brother. Well done!

Developer

I'm glad the folks who played Yu-gi-oh as kids came across my game. Thank you so much for playing!

Cool game :) I've always been a fan of deck builder style games!

Developer

Thank you! I thought your team's game was really cool as well!

Took me a while to beat, I ain't too bright.

This was so clever an cool! You did great on this.

Got some notes though.

Even though there are some highlights and stuff, some additional hover/interactions tweens would do a lot for the game feel.

A custom mouse cursor with contextual graphics about the interaction the player is about to do, would do WONDERS for making some of the puzzles a litter more more intuitive.

I know it's a thinky-clever game. But highlighted key words would help a ton for dumber people like me.

This game is really well done, but I feel that most people wont beat it, not even the first puzzle. And even for point and click games, good gamefeel on interactions is a huge deal.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing all the way through! I agree with all your feedback 100%, and it killed me that I didn't have time to implement those features before the deadline, because you're right--as is most players won't get past the first puzzle and when you're rating dozens games for a Game Jam you don't have the time to sit down and fiddle around. Shame because the aspects of the game that I put the most effort into most folks won't see!

So I'm glad at least one player made it to the end, and I'm encouraged to juice up the game feel for the post game-jam revamp. Cheers (and great work on Fae!)

All the puns and references to a certain deep voiced card collector were golden, the heart of the cards is in this one. Loved the characters and art overall. The colors and are easy on the eyes and I like the way the story/concept is presented. Won't lie though I could not beat rich boss boi. Definitely gonna play this some more to try to get the hang of it.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing. I didn't know how much overlap there was between this game jam and Yu-Gi-Oh so I'm glad you could appreciate it. And yes, I wanted to include a hint system but unfortunately I left that very necessary bit for last and couldn't end up adding it before the deadline. Still, thanks for playing and if you ever make it back, I'm at least going to fill out the landing page with some hints and instructions. Cheers!
