Love the shoot-to-move mechanic! The quick restart when you die makes failure less frustrating and the small, tight levels keep things fresh. Definitely something to continue building on here!

Great!

this my favourite game of the jam so far!!!

Simple, well-built, and a solid foundation to improve upon. Well done!

nice work! its really fun to play, but it keeps asking me to put a name, i would remove that, but it is fun to play really!

Cool game! Feels satisfying. Some little things that could take it to the next level- something other than a white background, some bg music, and not having to put your name in to continue!

Fun little game! Def a good match for the theme. Although maybe I'm bad, but I felt like the gun tracked a little inaccurately sometimes. Like it wasn't going where I wanted to go.

Btw, I know it can be tedious, but do try to credit the assets you use for the game. They are on the asset download page~

A very creative interpretation of the jam theme! it makes "the worlds hardest game" from the cool maths games days look like "hello kitty island adventure" lol. I couldn't get past the second level for the life of me. The gun sounded chunky, the points sound was satisfying and the game looked as good as it needed to. you should be proud of your work!!!

Great work with the shoot to move mechanic, it really feels good and works exactly how you think it "should". I had a little problem on the 3rd or 4th level where I collected all the things but it still wouldn't let me proceed? Throwing myself into the spikes reloaded everything though and I was able to continue after collecting them again. I had seen you post in the discord, so came by to check out your game. Glad I did!

Nice game. I love how your gun is so overpowered you only can use the gun for movement. it feels really solid and it has good sound design. good job!

I love that this is “overpowdered” - it took me a moment to notice that! I’ve seen the “move using recoil” thing before (and even done it myself), but this is a very good implementation. The weight/power balance feels good, and I like that you have to actually shoot targets as well as just using the recoil. I could see myself trying to achieve personal bests on the levels if I weren’t trying to play a bunch of other jam games right now (but maybe I’ll come back to it!). It would be good to be able to play in fullscreen, though: I kept finding myself clicking just outside the game area, and frequently impaling myself on spikes as a result.

Thank you so much! I'm 100% with ya on the clicking outside the screen issue and kept having it mess me up in testing. Its my first time making an actual playable in browser game so once the jam is done that will be my first fix plus some other bugs that I've seen!

You might want to check the jam rules allow it, but even simply ticking the “allow fullscreen” box on itch could offer a way around the problem (at least for anyone who opts to use it).
