Really cool game. You actually have to develop a strategy to beat the level and the power ups are really useful. However I used the follow projectile ability and it teleported me to the top left of the screen and I got stuck. Apart from that little bug the game is very fun. Great job!
Thanks for playing, and for the honest feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I'm definitely planning to address some of the rushed decisions and add more features once the jam's over.
Okay so after playing for a while I found a few bugs.
1. The blue demon demolitionist hit box is very broken. I can kill it from 2 tiles away sometimes.
2. The throwing star upgrade that teleports you is a bit broken. If you press it and the ninja star is not on screen you get teleported to 0,0 . Or if you tap it twice by mistake it will recall the ninja star and teleport you to 0,0.
3. The 🔥 will hit you one the turn it disappears.
4. The boss sometimes moves onto your ninja star.
Still a very playable game and loads of fun (leaderboard says it all)
Waiting for the mobile download after the Jam 👍
dude, at this point I feel like you know the game better than me 🤣
I might be addicted to it 🤪
Best game of the Jam I have played so far!
Thanks a ton! That means a lot. I'm really happy you had a good time playing it.
This was definitely unique in terms of being one of, or the only grid-based and hexagon games I played! Pretty creative too! Good job! I kinda wish there were quicker controls for changing the action, so you can quickly disable whatever option you chose, that wasn't applicable to the situation. I also think I broke it: tried to follow a weapon I lost at the previous level and got stranded🫠
oh, thanks for letting me know about that, I'll have to fix that ina future update.
Appreciate your honest feedback.
cool game, the gameplay is interesting but the music is so repetitive
thanks, I ran out of time with the music...
I'm.hoping to update the game after the Jam with some much needed improvements
Back again for another play.
Loving this game 💚
love you man
Cool Game 👌👌
thanks man
That’s really cool, I enjoyed it a lot! GG🔥
Cheers
Super cool! Feels solid, and I can see lots of potential for this! with increasingly complex powers and abilities, as well as enemies this could be an awesome full game!
Much obliged
What a cool game, really well done, had fun with this one
Im glad you liked it
I feel nostalgic well playing this, it reminds me of flash games. Very good one, I enjoyed it.
thanks
Wow, this was a pretty awesome game. Great job on it!

thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it
that's innovative , really great

nice game, like the turn based strategic combat. Also good mobile controls!
Very good, one of the best.
I'm glad you like it.
Jogo bem interessante, gostei das artes e dos estilo de gameplay
obrigado
Love it ! This game have a good potential to replayability. Maybe an option to regain life at the altar would be nice. GG !
hi, I'm glad you enjoyed my game, yes I ran out of time with the altar upgrades. There are health upgrades but they are lost in the randomness of it all.
This is really, really similar to Hoplite, but having the stab attack involve staying put in order to take out one enemy and ditching the requirement to have your throwing weapon in hand in order to lunge puts a fresh spin on it. I could have done without the level swaying about under my mouse: I don’t feel as though that adds anything, and it makes crawling across the level one…hex…at…a…time… more of a chore than it would have been if I could simply click-click-click a row that stayed put. That said, I’m totally blown away by the gameplay: GDevelop makes it very easy to knock together a platformer or shooter but this kind of strategy game with a variety of different enemy behaviours on a hex grid seems like it would be a real challenge to put together using the events system. I’d love to see how that was done!
Thanks for playing, and for the honest feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I'm definitely planning to address some of the rushed decisions and add more features once the jam's over. Getting the turn-based gameplay working in just nine days was a real challenge, but I'm happy with how it turned out. I'd be happy to share how I did it once the jam ends!
Please do! I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for it. I’ve never tried anything turn-based in GDevelop myself just because it seems like such a step away from the easy options I’m used to, but your game shows just how well it can work. If you put it out there as some kind of template I think people would get a whole lot of use out of it!
I just wanted to second this as I also am incredibly interested in how you did this. I've messed around with the idea before in other smaller jams, but could never get a turned based system like this to play out correctly! I'll be sure to keep a look out.
loved the game concept, it was fun and hard!
