Unpredictable rules: Card effects are conditional. You are not told about the conditions necessary to trigger them: that you must find out by experimentation. None of the rules are given to you.

I loved it! This is probably the game I want to see further developed the most in this jam.
Very nice game! It feels very polished and well thought out. There's depth and strategy in all the right places. The gameplay is intuitive, despite the lack of rules for card effects. I can also see potential in fleshing it out further. I have a few thoughts on possible improvements after playing the web version (it's a long list because I enjoyed the game so much I kept playing for a while):
Also, I encountered a bug after one of my cards was defeated, it stayed floating on the right for the beginning of the next battle.
This game is awesome + so is music. The aesthetic (especially out of the intro) you captured here almost reminds me of like silent hill if it were on a ds or psp. Super polished, especially with how you got text boxes and the continue arrow to look. Same goes for card movement and the battle screen. One thing is I'd wish for is that the cards had more graphic art, would be so cool and make it easier to remember them by sight. Great game tho overall, and glad I checked it out!
Incredible work with this one! My favourite from the jam so far. It only took me a minute into the web version to sell me on the idea of downloading the desktop one, to be able to get the full experience. The graphics reminded me of the old yu-gi-oh games I used to play (which made me quite nostalgic) and all of the effects were on point. I am also amazed at how much personality you managed to put int a couple of cards with only words and stats in them. You even managed to fit in the theme of the jam perfectly.
The concept, the gameplay, the idea, the graphics, the music and sounds… I loved it all. Congrats on such an great game!
Loved this game! I was engaged all the way to the credits, and the soundtrack was a great vibe.
This is geniunely AWESOME. I would've gotten addicted to this game if there were more battles. I dig the visuals, I LOVE IT. The sound effects are nice, and the songs are BANGERS. I really like how each card has a name, personality, etc. (one of the cards I got said that stats didn't matter, and still was the first to die anyway lol), really sold me on the game. I love the variety of cards, with battle cards, cut-in cards, etc., they all feel necessary and good. The story's also great, I love Otto's character and the setting, extra points for the concept!
I actually think this might be one of my favorite games on Itch in a long time! Incredible work!!
