Rpgmaker is kinda like building with legos with how the events etc work, so even I could manage to get this little demo done since I didn't need to code anything. I'm sure your programmer friends can agree thats it's nothing that fancy ๐Ÿ˜‰.

I really should get around to actually making something "properly" with godot and learning a bit of programming, but procastrination is what it is ๐Ÿ˜‚

Glad you liked it!

Now played your demo. My point still stands. And that point with lego (we don't need to tell them :D), even Godot isn't much more now and still my friend and I didn't got that mini MetroidVania done. I will hopefully wait for  your game to come! ;)

Yeah, making an actual game, even a proof concept demo in a "proper" game engine like Godot takes a a lot of effort and time.

I've followed through a couple of the GDQuest game coding/making tutorials, but never continued trying to actually apply what I learned from that to something thats not just following a guide basically ๐Ÿ˜…  probably should learn the basics of programming first, so learn to walk before running ๐Ÿ˜.

I've done the yearly Global Game Jam as a duo with a friend who works as a programmer for a few years now, and it's always fun to see how much stuff an actual programmer can get done in just 2 days, when I would probably only have a character controller done probably ๐Ÿ˜‚
