Game Description
I started going to the gym recently, and sometimes it feels pretty absurd to have some guys grunting in a small room for hours. I've tried to communicate the overall absurdity in Alpha Alien.
How does your game tie into the theme?
"Feeling unseen by your human crush? Time to hit the gym." I aimed to reinterpret the theme with an emotional kind of unseen, but one that is nonetheless relatable to us all.

Very original entry. Never seen gym mechanics implemented so well. OK, never seen any gym mechanics in a game ever before. Good job, and good moan!
Damn reminds me of the Summer Games type of "sports" games we had 35 years ago. I feel fit and young. :D
i like game. the visual you have to do thath when you press right mouse and move it change, and in the machine i think that if you don't have the mouse over it, it doesn't work, it's not the best and it's a bit annoying, but overall i like the idea and the graphics, and the mouse
Very silly game, love the concept. Also a clever interpretation of the theme! I achieved "Protein Singularity" (Not sure if that's good lol). Loved picturing a freaky alien going "Duuuuuuuuuuude" as he feels the burn lol. Controls are a bit clunky but not in a way that gets in the way of the experience! Nice work!
The sound effects are glorious
Really interesting idea! I am guessing when you don’t hear the grunting you aren’t doing very well? I think it would have been funny to see signs around saying “No grunting at the Gym”. I did get confused which exercises were left. It might be nice if there was an accessibility option to highlight ones you did, or there were signs up on the walls that could show your score next to the ones you completed for another visual indicator that the equipment had been visited already.
Totally agree with you on all counts! I admit I ran out of time to further decorate the gym or implement settings, but all of those (especially integrating game state, high scores, etc. as gym decorations) are likely the next steps for this scene.
I didn’t expect to hear a man grunt in my ears and enjoy it, but I did. My spacebar didn’t, though. Very original idea!

I achieved protein singularity! Very funny, and the mechanics of mashing plus keeping the mouse lined up was surprisingly engaging. I liked frantically mashing space when trying to do one final rep before resting. Nice work!
