I like the nice simulator of pachinko machine.

I was able to use it on Firefox and was fun to play.

Overall the game has a very nice polish and the physics simulation is flawless.

The game is pretty deep and I get random objects each run, though I could never get the score of 100. I guess it depends a bit on luck! I wish this was like real pachinko machine where you felt that you had a strategy. Lol.

I enjoyed this game a lot!

Nice concept with a bit of a pinball-like vibe to it.

Luckily, I was using Firefox, so I could play it just fine 😊

The idea is solid, and I saw you mentioned plans for more shapes, multipliers, etc.—that would definitely add depth. Right now, it doesn't feel like it makes much of a difference what you buy in the shop, so adding more strategic choices would really enhance the experience.

Graphics and sounds were fine, and the theme was present, though it could maybe be woven in a bit more deeply. Ball bounce physics is fun to watch.

All in all, a solid jam entry and definitely a great foundation for some functional updates and polish! 💪

Developer

Thanks for playing and for organizing these wonderful jams!

I can totally agree with the feedback, all the items are basically the same which causes a lack of depth. I have continued working on the game after the submission deadline and now I already have 5-6 new items with totally unique gameplay effects (and sounds/visuals) which I think adds a lot to the game. Ill release this new version after the voting deadline, I hope you can find the time to give that version a spin as well!

Host

That is nice you already have some updates ready :-)
Feel free to post that in our gamedev-showcase channel on Discord for others to see also.
Maybe more want to check it out :-) !

PS: Organizing these jams is a joy to do☺️!

Cool idea and nice 3D graphics. I feel the idea had more potential. Often my ball just bounced somewhere without hitting much. Maybe it would have been better if you could shoot the ball with like an aimable cannon instead of only being able to time when it drops. Or some way to influence the ball movement or other elements. Or have it be like a pinball machine with the controllable pedals. Being able to rotate the elements before placement or afterwards would have been interesting as well.

Thanks for playing and for the ideas! I have continued working on the game after the jam and have already implemented some of your ideas such as rotatable elements. I'll release the new version once the voting is over.

This game has a unique personality and play style—I loved the concept!
It was a bit tricky to get started, since I use both Google Chrome and Edge, and the game didn’t work there. But I was really curious, so I downloaded Firefox just to try it out.

The game is fun and enjoyable to play. The physics feel good, and the art style is both unique and satisfying. Great job!

i gotta say i'm personally a fan of these kind of games, i got to 100 (by perfectly bouncing one ball on a burger in the top middle spot  XD  it somehow managed to escape at around 60 points but i got to 100 anyways ) the only thing i would add is a more satisfying ending than just you won in the left side of a screen, but that's probably just me

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I will definitely release a version with a more satisfying win screen.

I dont know why, all i see is a grey screen when i start game. I tried it multiple times but still same result.

Developer

I just tested it, for me it only seems to work in Firefox. In Edge and Chrome I also get a grey screen with only UI visible.

I have the same web gl error that antjowie had :(

Developer

Can you try with Firefox browser?

Submitted

Same. Edge too :(

Well the images looks amazing, but i cant play it, appears some buttons and the gray background, also my get soo laggy, i tested in brave and chrome, unfortunately i cant test your game xs

Developer

You are right, for me it also doesn't work in Chrome (and Edge). It does work for me in Firefox, can you try that? Thanks in advance!

GAMEPLAY: A bit of a tough time on browser, but since I had to gut my RAM not too long ago, I'm not surprised I can't keep up. I can't tell what to do by looking at the screen, but it's surprisingly easy to pick up once I start punching buttons. Just as fun as Pachinko is known to be, though man, am I bad at it. The different shapes of the objects add some dynamics, but I'd like to see different physics, too, or at least some bounce on the tyre.

VISUALS: The UI is clunky--some fonts are too big, some are too small, and the boxes are all different styles. I can enjoy some simplistic models, though.

SOUND: The music sounds very royalty-free and a bit soulless. Classic arcade sounds are good, but don't work too well with the visuals. I gotta at least hear the cat meow when I bump it.

THEME: The quirkiness of the bumpers plays into this theme, but they don't feel like 'resources' so much.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for your detailed and constructive feedback! It should run smooth since it's a very simple game, probably there are some quality settings misconfigured on my end.

The gifs look cool but the web build didn't load for me. It also made my entire browser lag, I'm using edge maybe it has some issue? I did see the following error in my console so that could maybe cause it.

Developer

That's weird, but thanks for letting me know and posting the screenshot. Can you try in another browser?

Developer

I have forwarded your screenshot to Unity. Seems like someone else also reported the same issue today.

Can you try to run the game in Firefox? For me it doesn't work in Chrome and Edge as well.

Really fun game. Perfect difficulty. It took a few attempts to get 100 but I enjoyed it :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback on the difficulty!

Unfortunately the web version doesn't work for me, do you have a windows build so i can try it out ?

Developer

Hey Pikiboii, thanks for letting me know! Are  you sure it isn't working? In my experience the game can take a while to load in WebGL. Do you see the Unity icon with the loading bar?

Submitted (1 edit)

Yup I can't play it, it loads the game but I only get the UI on a gray background

Developer (1 edit)

Can you try it in Firefox? For me the game doesn't run in Chrome or Edge.

Sorry i don't have firefox

Fun game, loved the artstyle, very unique mix between 2D and 3D. The bouncing mechanic was really well implemented, it felt really satisfying! I tried it 2 times got to 95 max :( But really well done, great entry!

Developer

Thank you, that's great to hear! I hope to expand it with more items in the near future!

Hey Paul van der Laan, your game really reminded me of Balloinaire in a way! I love the concept of building your own Pachinko machine and I think you implemented that mechanic very well.

The core loop itself could use some refinement. Since the limit is the amount of balls you can drop, and the goal is only defined by the amount of bounces the ball has to do, it feels like the choices in the shop do not matter that much. I'd have loved to see if different shapes would react differently and give different scores or modifiers.

Also the artstyle really improved throughout the development! Good job.

If you would have had more time, what would you have changed?

Developer

Thank you! I learned about Ballionaire while making this game, it was a good reference.
My plan was to make a lot of different items with different effects/modifiers but due to time constraints I only ended up with one type of bounceable item (with some minor cost/reward differences). So with more time, I definitely would have spend it on this.
