I think the idea of the game is really cool. The main piece of feedback I would give is that, and maybe this was just me, but I feel like the platforms should be a bit more distinct from the background. On the first level, it took me a while to realize that the platforms on the left weren't part of the background and that I could actually stand on them. The idea of having your past selves help your present self is a really cool idea, and your implementation was great for the time restrictions we had this jam. Nice game overall!
Nice idea that fits the theme it was overall really nice to play the locomotion was slightly broken at some moment but it was fun .
Simple idea but with a great execution
I think the idea is very cool and It fits the theme perfectly. The game also looks very cute I like!
The only thing i have to say you have a lot of downtime when you are basically waiting for your past self.
But very well done!
I loved this game. The balancing was just right and the visuals were awesome. Nothing to complain about, great job!
Muy buen juego, a veces se buguea el fantasma pero es como de jugar y bastante atractivo
Good game! I really liked the visuals because of the lighting and the pleasant graphics. The gameplay is fun and interesting, but I think the main mechanic could be developed further with more creative levels where it really shines. Also, I didn’t quite understand why the jump is assigned to the "W" key instead of the spacebar — I think spacebar would feel more comfortable and familiar. Overall, I enjoyed the game. Good luck with your future projects!
This is a really fun little puzzle game. I like the implementation of the theme and I appreciate that the game isn't too difficult. I also like the way the backgound moves in the menu.
Well done :)
This game is dope! I had a lot of fun figuring the puzzles out, and the clones mechanic worked really great!
Nice work!
The fact that you can create multiple clone is very interesting and I can see the game turning into a very nice experience. The art style is also very very nice and so are the sfx.
But there is some problems (that don't destroy the game feel just add up to sour a bit the exprience.)
First of all and it is very minor but happens to easily, if you run in a wall while midair then you will get stuck to it, also the echo is always facing a single direction sadly.
Second I am color blind and I can distinguish the two colors used in lv 2. It not a real problem because it is clear with only 2 platforms but if you want one day make this more of a puzzle game this can get pretty anoying for colorbling people.
Third and most important, the central game mecani is extremelly cool on paper but it is never used in a really great way. Most of the time you will do a platforming section and then wait for your clone to redo it so the door opens. It is kinda sad, maybe you could have gone for a more challenging room where you have to it multiple switches with a echo so it moves platforms up and you need to jump from one to another. Or be clever and use multiple echo and just lift every platforms at once.
Coins can be a great way to provide this sort of challenge and still maintain the cosy feeling and low difficulty of the game.
Don't take this critisism the wrong way, the game is nice and you should be proud of yourself to have finish the project.
Anyway, good day !
Thank you very much for your comment, I will keep in mind for future updates or next games.
Really cool! Looked like a challenge to code the clones, nice work :)
What a pleasant experience. I had a great time with this, and you should be proud of yourself. Im going to be very critical in this comment, but while reading it *please* remember that i had a good time playing your game.
There were aspects of the game here that were ametaurish, which, i suppose is natural if you're newer to game development. The character, for example, would get stuck in midair if you moved into an object while falling, and got really kind of annoying before i adjusted. This is actually a really easy fix (at least in unity, idk godot) for your next game. Upside-down echoes didnt appear to be upside down, which like, mechanically was unimportant but kinda brought me out of the game a little bit.
I think you missed a lot of the potential of your core mechanic. The mechanic really lends itself to puzzles, and i was hoping the game might go in that direction, but instead you seemed more interested in platforming. Which is fine! i just feel like the time rewind mechanic was just like,,, door levers but you have to go back to the start each time you hit one.
Sound and ambiance was lovely. not much to say on that. Art was also pretty good, though sometimes (especially in the first room) the platforms were a bit hard to see beacuse of the lighting)
let me reiterate: you should be proud of yourself. well done.
