Hey! I have been playing and rating a bunch of games, but I was wondering if next to playing and rating your game, people had any specific things they would like feedback on (gameplay, art, difficulty, etc.). So next to linking your game, do let me know if there is any specific feedback you would like!

If you feel like it, you can play mine too, but please don't feel obligated. :)

SnailQuest: https://bigmustard.itch.io/snailquest-shovel-jam

Update: Took some time to set up a Windows VM to also be able to play browser, Windows and Linux games, so bit behind but now I can play everything!

I'd love it if you played my game!

Just finished playing, will comment and rate on the page! :)

I would like a feedback on difficulty in the most part i guess :D
Played SnailQuest, very fun concept. The eating sound effect is goated honestly, good job.

Submitted

Just finished playing! I had some trouble with level 5 and 8, but I would say the difficulty is pretty balanced! It is both challenging but not so challenging it actually frustrates, some of the harder levels took 3 or so tries so still very reasonable!

I will rate and leave a comment on the rating page, and also thank you very much for playing SnailQuest! Recording the sound effects was so much fun haha

could use some feed back on what to improve on this game thanks

Submitted

Sorry it took a bit longer, I quickly needed to set up a Windows virtual machine to be able to play your game as I could only play Linux and browser.

Really like the art and overall cohesion of the game, really cool style! I did have quite a lot of trouble progressing though, some of it is definitely a skill issue on my part but maybe it would help to have some more checkpoints/invincibility frames? Mostly got stuck after the vertical platforming section, I think especially with the enemies it could be tough that if you landed wrong, they would basically instakill you. I think the game has potential though, are you planning on working more on it still? :) Well done definitely on your first jam!

(By the way, do not know if it was intentional, but the hyperlink here is not of the game but of a meme gif haha)

Submitted

I sent a gif on accident heehee thanks for checking it out for the next update of the game we plan on fixing the jank movement and collision boxes, add I frames, and fixing the camera and adding more sections to the game.

If you can I'd like feedback on what you think in general! I had to rush the last room and ending out but the rest of the game should be completed.

Your game has a really cool concept! If you made it into a full game it could probably be a banger

I started playing your game but currently I am stuck on the safe puzzle (this is not a game bug, simply a skill issue), do you have a hint or anything? :) Like it a lot up until now by the way (including the story), I really like puzzle games!

Also, thank you very much! All the positive feedback has really encouraged me to continue with development, of this game or otherwise!

Submitted

Yea on the room on the right there's a paper that hints at what you have to do. After looking at it look at the painting in the middle room and it will become apparent!

I wish you luck with your game and any future ones you plan to make!

Submitted

Thanks for the hint, but I was just calculating the code wrong, got it eventually! Such a sad story :( well done on it though! And I had a laugh about the big text in one of those last rooms.

And thank you, good luck to you and your future games too! I definitely can see the potential for a more elaborate puzzle game from this :)

Submitted

Yeah I didn't have enough time to complete Room 4 so I added that lol. Hope you have a nice day!

I would like a feedback on the story mainly. Made it in a half a day so don't expect much.
Played SnailQuest. Very fun. Experienced lag during the find the item in the 3 cups (not sure if there's a term for this) otherwise had a great time.

Submitted

I think the story is quite good! I did get an  error at the option to together with Macy. I think you actually got a lot of story in for half a day, so genuinely well done with that! Also quite surprised with how it ended, good game jam entry :)

Submitted

Also thank you very much for playing SnailQuest, I had a blast! Is the lag the cups in round 1? Because the cups are drawn animation sprites and not actually moving objects, so in round 1 it looks a little clunky :')

Submitted

Yes it is the round 1 cups. Wasnt much of an issue though

Submitted

Thank you for the specific feedback, will put that on the 'to fix' list!

Submitted

If you would be so kind as to give mine a try: https://sirspud.itch.io/yeah-squirrels-have-wands

I'll also definitely go ahead and give yours a try!

Submitted

So adorably goofy, I really like it! The last level is definitely quite challenging though, but I think you struck a great balance between challenging and fun. Will rate and comment on the page! :)

I'd appreciate feedback on the progression of the story

Thanks in advance :)

Submitted

Definitely very creative, and for the progression for the story apparently it came very naturally with the fact I already typed 'you' hahah. I needed to replay until that point to be sure what would have happened if I didn't!

Rated your game as well, well done on your first game jam!

Please rate the art and gameplay because I'm still pretty new to that

Submitted

Nice game, definitely very well done on your first game jam! I really like the art (very cute maintenance robot). The only thing was that I got confused with the fact I needed to hold e instead of press it, but that did not at all effect my enjoyment, well done! Will leave another comment on the rating page and will rate the game :)

Submitted

I'd love feedback on the movement, specifically. I slowed things down in hopes to give better control, but I don't think it's being perceived that way. Thanks in advance: https://lovely-honey.itch.io/feather-weather

Submitted(+1)

First of all, adorable bird. Second, I do think slowing down things was a good move, I do think you struck the balance between control and some needing to correct the ball quite well. With taller slopes or the moving squares it is a bit more difficult, but with small jumps you can definitely correct yourself. How come you feel it isn't perceived that way?

Also rated and put a comment on the rating page :)

Submitted

I received some feedback about the movement being tighter and the platforming was considered challenging, so I wanted to make sure I didn't overdo that feature. I appreciate the play and feedback. Thank you! (*^▽^)/★*☆♪

Submitted(+1)

Oh makes sense, it didn't feel overdone indeed! ^o^ And of course!

Submitted

Would love some feedback if you are still looking for games to play, nothing specific:

Thanks!

Submitted

Got to about wave 9 or so, I had a really good laugh about the upgrade cards (like the cleaning power one and the game is fun to play! Will rate your game and leave a comment on the rating page too :)

Submitted

Would love any feedback but especially some on how you feel the game adapts to your choices!

/jam/shovel-jam-2025/rate/3733235

Submitted

The art is absolutely AMAZING, same for the music and story! For feedback how the game adapts to your choices, I really quite liked both the piano but especially the art part, I like the choices you could make in that and then also the very real narrative about spending free time. Great job!

I will rate and put a comment on the game review page too :)

Submitted

Heyy, play mine if you have time =) /jam/shovel-jam-2025/rate/3729697

Just finished and I think it is a very interesting and fun concept, very creative! I will rate and leave a comment on the rating page :) And thanks for playing my game too!

Submitted

That's an awesome idea, I would love feedback on the gameplay itself, difficulty, controls, specifically if you have any idea on how to improve because I am aware that it is a bit flawed

https://thecrabbadger.itch.io/flap-tower

I'm also gonna try your game, I love seeing what other people came up with

Submitted

Even though I kept falling back to the absolute very beginning, it is definitely a fun game! I think the flappy bird vibe is definitely there with the controls too, I think it is very fitting that it is slightly hard to control and correct course. Some spots like the longer vertical sections were especially hard. Maybe for the people who are not that handy with this kinda game allow for more error through checkpoints or making it so those in between sections can be closed? But if you want to keep it in kinda the rage game genre, I also think you could leave it as is! :)

Hey there! I would like feedback on the art and the controls/mechanics of the game. Also, I played your game and I absolutely loved it, keep up the good work!!!

Submitted

Just managed to not get fired with 17 letters, well done on the game! I quite like the little postman running around a bunch so art is solid, in terms of controls/mechanics also pretty straightforward. The only feedback point I had was that the arena was a bit big, it might have been nicer if is was slightly smaller and you could see a bit more to see where the post was falling. But again, fun game, definitely fun to run around and race!

Also thank you so much for playing my game too, glad you like it! :)

Suction Bot by silasmathguy is the game to short?

Submitted

Hey, I already rated and played your game! :)

I would say for a game jam game and the short time we had, I wouldn't say it is too short, game jams just don't allow for hour long games most of the time. But, I would definitely not be opposed to adding some more levels, these ones were fun!

Submitted

please try out my platformer game and tell me anything you think I could improve on:

https://legomasterek.itch.io/journey-to-reality

Submitted

Just played your game, well done especially for your first jam! I left a rating and a comment on the rating page :)

For improvement, the reach of the weapon is a bit small so sometimes it was quite hard to hit the enemies without getting hit yourself, so maybe making the range a little bigger might be nice? Next to that no specific notes!

If you could give me feedback, I’d really appreciate it.

Genuinely great game, I like the abilities you can unlock and it was fun to read you were indeed inspired by Spore! The thorn shooting enemies were quite tough, although that was probably a skill issue on my side haha. Rated the game and put another comment on the rating page! :)
