Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
The entire game follows the player character getting set up for, and beginning, an event that will lead to unstoppable/irreversible changes. With the theme of 'just get started', I thought it would be fun to make a game inspired by the 'Don't Escape' franchise, where the gameplay revolves around prepping, and finding out at the end if events unfold how you want them to.

the concept is nice but after failing an attempt, I don't really learn anything on how to beat it the next time, would be nice if there was a line of text when you die giving a simple hint of 1 of the things you missed. I clicked everything I knew to be clickable but couldn't find the code for the safe (or even how to interact with the safe). I tried a few more times whilst either avoiding clicking things that might be red herrings or just trying to find more stuff to click but no luck. I liked the art style and the music was alright however the change in volume when you do the ritual felt a bit much.

Saw this on youtube, and I was right, this game is neat! The sound effects make every action super satisfying, even if I'm just moving from room to room. I'm definitely feeling the Don't Escape vibes you were going for. I died the first time but got my hug the second! Now to try this out irl, wish me luck!
