Our game is not directly about getting started, but about helping a player get started with a game by creating a tutorial

this is a lovely idea!
I struggled to get through the first level but i managed my way through it eventually, the second level felt abit nicer to the player
I managed to cheese the enemy by jumping over him at some points, not sure if this was intended as i couldent get the attack option to work!
A few questions or suggestions that I didn't see
1: a way to delete old signs
2: an animation for the attack? this might be happening but I didn't see one
This is a really creative game, reminds me of lemmings meets game dev so props to that!
Jumping over the enemy is intended, the attack option only works if the player has picked up a weapon. I meant to include a UI element to make this more clear, but didn't end up having the time for it. Same with deleting signs. I'm glad you enjoyed our game though
Slightly janky (to be expected so no problem!), and after tens of tries and resets was finally able to beat the first level. Was not sure if it was me or the game that was having trouble :D The second one was somehow easier to get through :D
Fun concept for sure, amazing what people can come up with ^^ awesome as your first game jam game!

I really adore what you created here!
Like others already mentioned I needed second to wrap my head around the mechanic (partly because I try out before reading the description). But from that point on I was hooked.
I also see the potential to improve this small jam version into something bigger.
Too bad there's no background music, some easy to listen tune for the building phase and something adventureous for the simulation would make me go chef's kiss.
Nevertheless really great job on your first game jam submission, love to see more of Assistance needed.
Love the concept, took a while to get what I was supposed to do, but I guess that is what I get for not fully reading the instructions. Hope there would be option to remove signs so wouldn't have to reset the level everytime. Overall the game is fun to play and would gladly see more levels to be added! Even though I didn't even get through the existing ones :D
It took me a while to figure out how to get the player to follow the instructions, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get them to cross the gap. Fun though, and cool concept and cute art, I dig it.
I suppose that's kind of on me for not explaining things properly. I'm glad you still liked the game despite not figuring out how to play.
I'm gonna add how the signs work in the description if you'd like to try again knowing how the game works this time
Ah okay so it was indeed a skill issue lol. Got it, I'll try again. I think I know what I was doing wrong now.
It was my fault for not adding a proper explanation too. I just figured people would understand but that was from the background of having coded everything and already knowing how it works
The game idea is fun, and the art is pretty cute imo. It still needs a bit of work tho. After the jam you should polish it a bit more, I'm sure it will turn out a fine game
And well in the meantime go and try my game out, I would love to see what you think :)
Btw I liked your logo for the game, reminded me of the flag of Portugal and as a Portuguese I had to go and see what it was about lol
The game may not be completely finished, but you can really see the vision and the game Idea is really cool, I like it! It reminded me a bit of the old lemmings games. Also the art style is so lovely, it's a shame that you have no title image showing it.
