I actually teared up when I read the sign that said "Allow your failure to guide your path" with the ghosts lighting the way. Beautiful moment.

Thank you a lot! We actually had a lot of fun designing that time trial ghost mechanic. It started as a gameplay idea, but then we realized it could carry some emotional weight too. I'm happy that moment landed for you. Hearing that from you means a lot!

Great game, good job on making a complete game in the time limit. It is exceedingly well polished.

Really nice game, i love how smooth the movement is and the art is a masterpiece!

Amazing visuals and sounds!

While it's obvious that you guys have put a lot of effort into the gameplay mechanics, there's still some big gripes I have with it.

  1. The choice of WASD instead of arrow keys. A lot of platformers game that binds jumping and other buttons like dashing to Shift for example, also has their general movement with WASD, which means my hands needs to be in a very awkward positions to play if I want to use both my hands (I don't know if people do it with one hand but I certainly can't do it).
  2. On the wall jumping controls, most platformers featuring this mechanics mostly just feel super awkward. It's really hard to jump off one wall and immediately have to do another maneuver like dashing in the other direction for example. I don't remember how Celeste did it but you guys definitely should study it.
  3. The camera. Except for the fixed angles in some areas, it just snaps too fast and sometimes unnecessary. It makes my eyes strain a lot.
  4. The hazards have too low a contrast to the overall environment. All the art assets I can see have all white outline, yet the spikes is all white. It just makes it too hard to discern danger from normal environment,

I apologize if I come off as too harsh for a jam game. You guys seem to be more experienced developers so I gave my honest feedback of some of the usual pitfalls that I see the game is suffering from. The art is amazing but the movement doesn't feel great and that's an essential pillar for a platformer game.

Well done. I had some bugs where the character would stick to the wall but wouldn't register as me holding on to it.  also some input eating and delay, but all and all, everything else has been fun.

The Presentation is well-made and I really like the movement mechanics specially the diagonal dash. I enjoyed it !

Awesome awesome game, gorgeous visuals and sound. Specifically, loved loved loved the 'learn from your mistakes' section. Awesome mechanic I would love to see again.

I have seen some mentions that the controls felt a bit cramped but wasn't unplayable by any means (I just used my right hand for jump and dash).

Also having the disappearing platforms come back immediately on death might make retries less frustrating (plus only have them disappear if you land or wall jump off them, there was many instances where i would jump near it and it would break).

Great game!

DID I JUST GOT RICK ROLLED BY A GAME IN A GAME JAM?
Anyway, good work on this game, it was a really enjoyable experience. I didn't expect people to try a do a games that inspire people even when the theme of it by itself is a call to create. I loved the artstyle, how you used lights particles, the ethereal pixelart and how the mechanics fits the themes. Really good job.

This one hit right to home for me but in a good way. I've struggled with my mental health for years and part of the reason I decided to pick up game development was to give myself something tangible to exercise healthier ways of coping with... all of the above and more as well as pursuing something I feel much more in love with than I expected to. The emotional beats to this hit on every level for me personally, from the 'Done > Perfect' to all the clutter and screens even, the mess of signs and even the path of those previous failures leading you onward were just emaculate. Not only were they excellently designed, the artistry fit perfect with each theme and the music hitting the right beats but the mechanic in the very last one especially slammed it out of the park. Deeply emotional, inventive, uplifting playing this was a wonderful experience and I'm not a fan of precision platformers at all. Amazing job :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. It really means a lot to me. As a team, we put a lot of heart into the game, so hearing that it connected with you on such a personal level is incredibly meaningful. It’s amazing to know that something I made could offer even a little bit of comfort or encouragement.

I'm really glad you found something uplifting in it, especially since precision platformers aren't usually your thing. And more than anything, I hope things continue to get better for you. Wishing you all the strength and support on your journey.

Thanks again for playing. Your words truly made my day.

What a cool game. I liked everything from the graphics down to the Raccoons with Internet Access descriptions. I think you nailed the presentation and came out with something that was not only fun but highly presentable and polished. It didn't feel like a prototype but more like something finished and ready to be shown. I could totally see this being made into a longer experience.

I thought the controls felt tight. I liked how the jumping physics felt mixed with the speed of the dash and the pixel animations that went a long with it. It all worked really well together which is impressive considering this was a team effort. So kudos to ya'll for coming together to make something cool.

If I could have any kind of nitpicks. It was that the R button is so close to the D button. So I lost my progress on accident once. But that's splitting hairs. I thought this game was the best! 10/10

Sorry about that r button that was actually for fast debuging purposes but we forgot to remove it. Thank you for your kind feedback. Im very glad you liked our game.
