A lot of really fun stuff with a lot of rad pieces! The feel is really strong all throughout and the art helps solidify it!

Absolutely beautiful work. Imaginative and dreamlike. Economically outlines a couple of dramatic struggles between NPCs, giving lots of scope for roleplaying and exploration. Lovely stuff.

The layout looks so good in these vivid psychadelic colors, and doesn’t sacrifice legibility to do so. I really enjoyed the tragic faction play, and the Walled Garden is a great location in and of itself. I could definitely see myself using this module in whole or part in my own Cairn home game. Also, I absolutely adore the Knight & Snapdragon! Great job!

Thanks so much! I was really happy with the layout in the end, Explorer's Design canva template was really helpful there so shout out to them.

If you do use it in your game I'd love to hear how it goes!

Will do! I also promoted your piece over on Bluesky, so hopefully it gets some more eyes on your great lil module

Developer(+1)

thanks very much! I'm not on anything save Discord and itch so appreciate the boost!

I really liked how interesting and different the adventure hooks were. The writting was clear and the locations felt unique and I liked the short decriptions given for each. Fun magic item for the armour to - Awesome work!

Developer

thanks for the kind words!

Love everything in this, the Green Hand and its Fingers are very satisfying. The items and NPCs are all great. Are the nine dead Fingers in the nine sacs??

Developer

Thanks you! It's definitely implied they're the Fingers in the glasshouse yeah.

I had a longer description of the Green Hand (detailing the different Fingers, Knuckles, Nails etc in the gang) and this included their plot to be reincarnated in the garden should something happen to them, but it all ended up getting cut for space and left more ambiguous (hopefully not too cryptic in the end!)

Great use of art and an excellent Alice in Wonderland - living garden vibe. Maybe the expansion can have a terrifying tiger Lilly to hide from.

Love the "weird" vibe. Really nice presentation, too.

The art, layout, font, adventure, everything really, is top notch. Incredible module, i have to run this with my play group

Developer

hey thanks so much! If you do run it I'd love to hear how it goes :)

Cool adventure with some great magic items, a variety of hooks, and nice use of public domain art!

Submitted(+1)

Those are some great magic items, right off the bat, worth stealing for any system.

Similarly, the background and set-up are fantastic. I normally don't get excited about druids, especially urban druids, but this had me 100% in.

This whole thing is wall to wall great ideas, combined with excellent execution, and making both of those look far easier to pull off than they actually are.

Excited to insert this setting into any fantasy city I run in future.

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks! Really appreciate it. Lots changed as it developed but those two magic items were one of the first things I nailed down and they remained pretty much unchanged.

If you do ever use it in a game I'd love to hear how it goes!

Okay, a few surprises as I read on. What's this Snapdragon? Absolutely brilliant. A very unique and interesting proposition. My only negative point is the pink, which clashed too much with the layout, design, and colors of the adventure.

Developer

thanks for the comment! Snapdragon idea very much came from one of the public domain sources (linked  in one of the replies below)

The hot pink is definitely a marmite addition I think but I fell in love with it while experimenting with layout and decided to double down

This went in directions I never would have expected. Lot of creativity here. Great layout. Love the repurposed map. Really nice work.

Developer(+1)

hey thanks so much! It changed a bunch during the design process, I might try and write the twists and turns up in a blog if I get time (unlikely, but you never know!)

Well organized. Exceptional map. I like how there's two different paths into The Palm. Riddles feel like a good level of challenging. All together, a great adventure. Also, including 3 different motivations for character parties was great.

Developer(+2)

thanks so much for the kind words! Yeah the hooks were one of my favorite things to write, need to edit and give the clergywoman a name after the jam concludes though. Oversight there (I had one that made the Romeo & Juliet reference more explicit and it got swapped out in an edit for some reason)

Really great use of public domain art here.

There's a lot of really cool lore baked into this. The floral theme is used in some really cool ways here and is consistent enough in the adventure to not be forgotten about. The Glasshouse is a really interesting space with its desert and tundra.

I really like the way the armor and the poison work. Sir Dent De Lion and the Snapdragon are both excellent inclusions. If the PCs aren't already seeking them out or running into them, I might fudge those encounter dice a bit to make sure they make an appearance.

The hook where the PCs are working with or are Merchants of Ash is really compelling, especially since I have a feeling a lot of players will gravitate towards sympathizing with The Green Hand.

Hey thanks so much for the kind words! The public domain art really influenced the design of this and it all took a handbrake turn when I found this amazing 1899 book of illustrated poems https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/a-floral-fantasy-in-an-old-english-gar...

Excellent writing and layout. I really like how naturally you made the public domain art feel together with the adventure.

Also nice hooks for the adventure. Very well designed to make players approach it from totally different angles.

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words! Shout out to the Public Domain Art Review for some of the inspiration and sources https://publicdomainreview.org/

A breath of fresh air, pun intended. I like that there are the various pieces to put together as the warden needs them. Here’s another pun: it feels grounded. Okay, now I leaf you with a good job.

Developer(+1)

very kind and delivered with aplomb (apun? I've been trying to think of a witty reply all day and clearly no match for your skills here haha)

Submitted(+1)

Exquisite - I'm totally on board.  Funny, because my entry also features a garden and plants (coincidence, small world).

Submitted(+1)

I really like the DIY feel of the adventure! The layout and writing are clear enough, and it makes it easy for GM to run!

I like the aesthetic of the module. How it looks and the setting you've created. It reminds me of reading Parsival: "a knights tale" as a kid.
