It's a neat idea! I especially like the emergent complexity from being able to move forward to turn around, and the limited number of moves in one loop. It has a lot of potential for some cool puzzles with just the mechanics already available!

A decent start, and the mechanics seem to work well as-is, though I think it could use some polishing work. Obviously sounds were left out for the jam, but I think the main flaw with this game at the moment is the general speed of play. It’s… pretty slow right now. It takes a while to click into the menu to place each command, the robot moves slowly, it takes a couple seconds to restart when you die… maybe small issues individually, but they add up. Improving the speed of the game could go a long way toward making more difficult puzzles less tedious to complete.

Overall, the gameplay works pretty well here, though I’ve played similar games before. A lot of the time it felt like I just happened upon a solution out of sheer luck, and many of those solutions didn’t feel very “elegant” or logical to me (in fact, I suspect even some of the later levels have multiple possible solutions). What you have feels decently polished, though!

Neat idea for a little puzzle game. A bit of polish would go a long way, and I'd love to see how else you could incorporate the repeating moves system into level design. Very nice job though!!

I missed the music and am bad at puzzle games so I didn't get how to pass level 5. Still, a fun idea for a loop game.

Fun puzzle game!

Cool idea for a game!  I would have liked a faster way to select the directions, like being able to use the arrow keys or having the icons much closer to the squares at the bottom.

Thanks for the feedback.

When I implemented the input I had in mind supporting both mouse and touchscreen as the main input to allow the players play the web version in Android/iOS device. But, definitely adding some keyboard shortcuts is a great idea

reminds me of scratch for some reason, great mechanics and visual

Developer

Scratch was one of my references to develop the idea 😉

Great game, little tricky on the theme and needs audio but over all pretty fun and makes you think in creative ways, needs more levels though!

Thanks for the feedback.

When the jam will be finished, I would like to publish a new version with audio and fixing levels 3 and 7

honestly weirdly satisfying setting up a row of random commands and seeing where my lil robot fam heads off. other than the lack of audio, the game feels v polished! great work here :3
