Really satisfying gameplay loop! It's a shame you didn't have time to finish it, but that "Loop Breached" into shutting down the game and resetting progress is very annoying. I wanted to try and get all the upgrades, just to see what they do. I'd truly appreciate it if you uploaded a version where you can play as many loops if you want, even if you don't add any new content

Your Average rank is #716 in GMTK 2025! Congrats!

Here is the link with all the rankings:

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

Oh yea, the game's 5th place in "enjoyment" is probably inflated a lot. Games with more ratings get more precise average scores and also it makes the rating pool a lot bigger. Nice of you to actually compile a list like that since I also do miss the "overall" cathegory. My game is definitely not that good haha

Sorry, this totally wasn't aimed at discouraging you! You did a great job!

Getting #5 in enjoyment is a huge achievement and well deserved! Congrats on that!

Moreover, #716 overall is also a very good score - it's top-10%, and it's great to see how great work in joy department can drive the rest of the game quite high!

I think it's not inflated. The gameplay loop in your game is forgiving enough to let player learn in their own pace, but easily adapting to the skilled player. The skill tree is really thought out and navigating it just sounds and looks good with the effects you added. I played 6 of the top enjoyment games so far, and yours is one of my favourites. But it's true that more ratings may have brought some games down, for example Boris of Oris is 82nd with 72 ratings but is more enjoyable then some of the top ones. Eh, I mean it also depends on the person playing, but your game IS that good for many people

Very fun, and juicy game, super addicting, I think I am going to come back to this one after the jam!

My game is a cross between Super Mario Galaxy, and Cuphead if you have any interest!

Nooo :(

Surprised you didn't get bored immediately! Thanks for checking the game out

Sad that the best games barely get rates, I loved this one. Happy coding man

Great game, I liked the main menu being just one upgrade screen and shooting felt great. Good job. :)

haha, it came more from me not having enough time rather than a specific design choice but turned out to be a good thing actually!

I like this game a lot, I think you have a good thing going with the gameplay loop. It's like a more active version of an incremental game. I think the recall mechanic becomes really interesting when you get a second arrow, since it makes up for no longer being able to shoot straight. Good job on this one!

Thanks for playing!

Absolute fire, very satisfying game, always keeps you in motion and forces you to be aware of your surroundings. Overall awesome game, really enjoyable!

Saw this on Twitter and instantly knew I would enjoy it. Enjoy the art style and the feeling of the gameplay! Has skill expression as well (the number of times I killed myself is hilarious). Enjoy the power treadmill of starting the game versus a few upgrades to all of them. Would really enjoy a full version!

Developer

Thanks for such kind words, I think you are heavily overexaggerating how good the game is though! Got sick half-way and didn't have the chance to finish it the way I planned :( Thanks for checking it out!
