Very unique concept! The map and the inside of the pancake van are very detailed and charming. I like that every customer asked for something different and the gameplay was fun. Though it took me a while to realise that you can click right mouse button to rotate the object you're holding. At first I just wildy moved my mouse until the pan rotated lol. So maybe you can put the controls on your itch page. The twist was fun, but nothing happenend when I beat the boss. The game is also extremely polished and feels like a finished game. The only thing is that there is no music. Overall, a very solid game. Good job! But one more thing: Where were the powdered sugar and the syrup?!!

Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re really glad you enjoyed the gameplay and the twist. We had a lot of fun designing the game! At the start of the game, the AI comes up with a pancake order, and then repeats it every day to create a small loop and make the player question what’s going on.
The controls are listed on the itch page, though we understand not everyone checks there first. We’ll definitely make them clearer in-game next time.
We were working on background music but didn’t manage to finish it before the deadline. It might still make it into a future update.
And about the syrup and powdered sugar… we might add it.
Thanks for playing

What I thought was meant as a rage quitting game turned out a polished game with fun gameplay, great attention to details and nice plot twist.
At first I closed it when I saw how sensitive my mouse was. Then I saw in a comments that this is adjustable with settings and returned to the game. After several burned pancakes and no clue what to do I closed it one more time. Then I noticed something about the story in the comments and opened it again. During that time I also saw that you can change cooking style from toggle to hold which was game changer for me - cooking became an art, not frustration.
After that I decided to take a walk and saw the level - and it is really well done regarding the details with the cameras and fake trees. That sparkled questions like "What is going on here" and "Who need so much pancakes". And then I became immersed.
I don't know how you managed to do this in 4 days, but this is art. Way to go. Thank you for this experience.
One note - scroll wheel did not seem to work for me, I had to do some fancy pirouettes to serve my lovely pancakes.
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment! It means a lot to us that you gave the game multiple tries and stuck with it. We really wanted to mess with expectations. What starts as a chaotic cooking game slowly unravels into something a little stranger.
We know about the high sensitivity, and we were glad you found the option in the settings menu. The toggle to hold surely makes a big difference.
As for the scroll wheel, I checked it out and at first it seemed to work, but later in the game it broke. We will be fixing this in the next update after the jam.
Thanks again for playing and for diving into the mystery!

Fun twist for sure ! At first felt like trying to make pancake in Skyrim, the controls were pretty hard to get (even with the sensitivity), but the story was fun!
Thanks! The controls could be better for sure. This was the first project we fully relied on physics. Sadly the 4 days wasn't enough to polish the controls (the controls were even worse when we started), however we added a sensitivity slider that hopefully will improve the game. Did you uncover the pancake mystery?

I did! I don’t think I was supposed to use the pancakes instead of the frying pan at the end, but I sure did. Very fun game, had a blast with it ^^ I didn’t notice the mouse sensitivity option, so being frustrated making pancakes is what made me get out of the truck and explore! So maybe that worked out in the end.
Game was very difficult for me since there was no sensitivity option. (Meaning very quick movements looking around with a physics based system). Apart from that the game looked really good, it was fun to play. Due to my sensitivity I accidentally threw the pan at someone at lightspeed and something exploded which was a fun twist that I wasn’t prepared for haha. After digging deeper the game had a fun storyline with a mysterious secret. Overall well made for the 4 day deadline that we had!
I was very confused trying to figure out what to do and how to make the pancakes (skill issue most likely), before finding out the cardboard trees and a not suspicious door in the scenery. Now I'm just left wondering whether those were actual people I made pancakes for.....
Became a 10/10 once I found out the pan was a weapon!
I liked the combination of the cooking and the unexpected part at the end. It's definitely an interesting twist on a standard cooking game. I enjoyed exploring the map.
The physics is kind of annoying, for me the <web build> game kind of lags a bit, so the motion blur makes the game feel delayed, but it's not the games fault. For me at least, its really annoying to cook pancakes because the pan keeps falling, and when it does, its almost impossible to put it in the same place to cook stuff again. Idk if I'm doing something wrong but sometimes when the pancakes are in the plate the guy in front just ignores it and the next guy takes it.

There were some really cool Easter eggs though, wonder if we are just in a box, giving me Good morning Good evening and Good night vibes. Also the cameras hmmmm, saw the note too. Tried smacking a guy with a pan, didn't really work, I also saw a guy explode I think, wonder what that is about
Overall pretty solid game! Great work :D
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry to hear the physics gave you trouble. WebGL lag and motion blur can definitely make things feel a bit off. The pan has a mind of its own sometimes (we're suspicious too 👀). As for the customers, there is a counter where you can drop the plate. Only the customer who ordered can take that plate. I guess what happened is that your order failed, and the second customer checked the counter and found his plate.
Now… for the sake of the story: someone’s watching you. I noticed some cables leading to a strange place. If I were you, I’d probably follow them. 😉

Well this one threw me for a loop, really fun, satisfied my need for throwing around a pan. 10/10 peak experience.
I like how polished this is and clean. I wish my game was this neat.
