The cutting action was really fun! Narratively, it felt a liiiittle silly to bring a friend hospitalized for (attempted) apple consumption another apple... But that absurdism was super charming. Getting to create my own apple-powered weapon was a nice touch. 5/5 art because I made it, obviously ;)

This game made me chuckle.

Thanks for playing and laughing along

i gave 5/5 on artwork because i drew the best apple.

but seriously, this game made me so happy, i'll not tell what was the shape of the weapon...

loved it! and thank you for this.

Yes your apple totally deserves it I’m so happy the game made you feel that way. Thank you for playing and for the lovely comment!

I'm so impressed by how you coded the cutting/resizing interaction and with how it's used by the game for dialogs. It was also so funny. And the art and the mood are just what i love. And I'm sorry but even with your explanation, I did not understand where was the loop.

You’re absolutely right, I definitely didn’t do a great job with the theme interpretation. My inspiration came from some nested loop illustrations I saw online, but after finishing the core mechanics, I still couldn’t come up with a solid nested loop design. So… I ended up creating a loop-themed story to kind of fit the jam. Thank you so much for noticing the code! I spent quite a bit of time getting it to work, so it really means a lot to hear that.

That's awesome!!!! It's a really fun game. To have such an engaging plot and interesting art design when made by a single person is truly impressive—you must have amazing programming skills.

Troubleshooting: Finish Button Not Activating

👉 Temporary workaround: If you’re experiencing this issue now, please try placing a small pixel block inside the design box to re-enable the button.

Sorry for the current issue where the Finish Button may not activate properly! My original intention was to ensure that the design box must contain at least one graphic element. To achieve this, I used OnTriggerEnter() to enable the button and OnTriggerExit() to disable it. However, when the player removes the last object from the box, this logic fails, and the button doesn’t reactivate as expected.

I plan to fix this after the Jam by adding a counter to more accurately detect whether there are still graphics inside the design box.

Thank you so much for your understanding and support 🙏

I think I've figured out what the narrative category is for this year hahaha

As other point out its a very charming game, the mechanic being a bit reminiscent of Scribblenauts. One issue I came across is that on my ultrawide (2560x1080) monitor, the finish button isn't visible! That got me a bit confused. There was also a duplication glitch going on when cutting, but it only added to the fun (and chaos).

Really impressive coding work on the main mechanic, well done!

Thank you so much for playing—and for the super thoughtful feedback! 😊

About the Finish Button—thank you for helping me spot that issue! I’ve come up with a temporary workaround for now, and I’ll be fixing it properly after the jam.

As for the duplication glitch… it’s already on my list to polish post-jam.

Thanks again for the kind words and for taking the time to dig into the game. It really means a lot!

Ok this is just so charming ! The mechanic i never saw before and fact you can do anything with it. My triple apple-bow is a weapon of mass destruction.

OH MY GOD IM IN LOVE??????? THIS IS SO CHARMING WHAT!!!! the colors and composition are so appealing and create such a unique look that turns what should be ugly into such a fun and whimsical experience. The goofy story makes this feel like it came right out of a kindergartners crayon filled sketchbook and it is done perfectly. Also was not expecting the loop at the end and let out a little giggle when it happened.

Thank you so much for the incredibly kind words! I’m really happy that the story and art resonated with you—it means a lot to me. That sketchbook vibe was exactly what I was going for—so it’s amazing to hear you picked up on that! Thanks again for taking the time to play my game and to share your thoughts!
