The integration of a board game was fantastic and I actually didn’t even notice how quickly the time passed while I was playing, haha! The graphics were nicely designed and the sounds fit the setting.

Unfortunately, I encountered a few bugs, resulting in not being able to continue the second level because of the green tooltip blocking the shop’s skip button, and re-entering full screen didn’t help either. Also, the fact that the weapons sometimes dealt completely different damage values and certain traits did not activate as its written, was a little confusing.

However, I think the idea behind it has a lot of potential and I can certainly imagine it becoming a fully fleshed-out rogue-like board game and I would definitely buy it! <3

I really like the gameplay — very nicely executed!

Great execution of a fun concept! Chill dice rolling, but with good strategy and good art & animations. I had a great time :D

Very nice concept, I like board game-esque games like this a lot!

Developer

Thank you so much!

Very loop hero inspired haha, I like the art, also callback to the roll the dice theme? :O

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you like the art! We noticed in the brainstorming phase that the game was more like Loop Hero than we realized, so we decided to try and lean a bit more into the board game aspect. Thanks for playing 😄

simple yet fun! I spent quite a while on this. Nice and addictive loop!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you got some mileage out of it.

This game looks and feels great and is really addicting. It has a great balance of strategy and chance along with nice input feedback, all which keep you engaged with the game. Both the pixel art and sound design are beautiful and the game feels very polished and satisfying to play overall. The only thing I felt was missing was a symbol to indicate which enemies had been defeated or not on a given loop. My favorite enemies were the fish man and the frog king. Great entry this year guys.

nice loop hero inspired monopoly :D I like how you can modify rng to help you with where you want to land

Developer

Thank you! Yeah changing the dice or using the glue trap to land where you want were some of our favorite features as well.

I really like the game ! Would've been better if the tutorial wasn't just text because u could forget parts, but overall i enjoyed it !

Developer(+2)

Thank you!! Yeah the tutorial was a little last minute and I wanted to make it more interactive but didn't have much time so just made it text based and focused on making the game as polished as we could lol

Submitted(+2)

I like this game a lot! As other commenter said, it feels like a full game already. However, i would suggest to add a button to quickly remember the core mechanics taught in the tutorial, I completely forgot a little part of it and was wondering why every enemy was attacking first, but maybe that's just me being dumb, lol. Overall, great concept and extremely well implemented, nice job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much!! I think we're planning on making a more interactive tutorial so you can learn the mechanics by playing instead of just reading text which should hopefully solve that issue as well as more robust pop up information boxes. Thanks again!

really addictive! I really like the weapon interactions. It was fun planning on dice numbers and attack order. It feels like a complete game already.

Developer

Thank you so much!!!

Really loved this one! I think I played through like 5 loops or so ? Or whenever that frog boss on the thumbnail shows up (not sure if boss order is random hahaha)

I really liked the presence of RNG manip through the angel / demon dice to help with battles or help stack some of the items that get + damage on coin gain/loss. The length of a loop does get a bit grindy if you manage to get an unlucky roll near the boss (especially if you had that coin flip modifier hahaha, I had to loop around 3 extra times in the last loop I did since I kept on landing right on top of it with a 2 or 1). So while I liked that dice roll for movement and battles are tied - there is a bit of a pain point there that they are so dependent of each other.

But definitely would be amazing to see a fully realized version of this game with more interactions between all of its systems!

Developer(+1)

Yeah we're planning on adjusting it a bit to feel less grindy and to help with the bad luck we wanted to implement a minimum of one attack even if you perfectly land on the tile that way you don't get screwed over. Thanks so much for playing and enjoying!

This reminds me of early mario part, I love it!

Developer

reminds me of mario party! love the aesthetic and the sound design

A dungeon-crawler board game is certainly a unique concept. I do like how the different stages have different enemies! It is luck based, but aren't most board games?

Great job :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind feedback! There's definitely a lot of balancing we need to do to reduce the luck factor, haha.

Cool concept, the placement of the board could have been better, I just stumbled upon zoom in-out and dragging it to my view otherwise I would have been clueless of where the board is. I did not get why my weapons were not hitting the ghost and the skeleton

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the confusion! The number of attack loops  you perform in battle is determined by how many moves you have left when you land on the enemy tile. Unfortunately that means that if you land on the enemy tile, you don't get to attack. You probably just got unlucky. In the future we'll make it so that you get a minimum of one attack loop per battle.

A decent game concept!  the audio and artstyle was pretty good and the controls didnt feel too clunky, the only thing is that the game did feel kinda out of my hands with all the rng and stuff but it was fun seeing my build get more weapons!

Developer

I definitely think we leaned a little too heavy into the rng, but we'll make some changes to fix that in the future. Thank you for playing!

Such a great idea! The song has a great vibe and the game works well considering the die, it would’ve fit perfectly with the “roll the dice” theme.
By the way, good job :D
