How does your game fit the theme?
PHASE:DISTORTION is a Shoot Em Up game where each level is a "loop". At the end of each loop the player will have to pass a QTE in order to proceed to the next one.

Well done!

I don't quite understand why qte is here

and it's a bit unclear when ship control is possible with wasd but on qte only arrows

The game is cyclical, but it seems like there wasn't enough metaprogression or a new type of difficulty

hey so i played the game at first i thought this was a just a simple normal game but the qtes really impressed me and then the difficulty started to ramp up which i really liked and found it fun to play!! I dont know if its a meant effect of the movement but the texture of plane lags when moving. I had fun playing it great job!!!!

Pretty intuitive game, I liked the music! What’s supposed to happen after the escape?

Thank you! The initial idea was that after the escape you get to the next level with a different environment, different enemies and a pretty natural scaling in terms of difficulty. If you were to fail the escape (the QTE) you would have to clear the current level again with a significant difficulty increase. However I ran in to a bunch of difficulties underway and simply didnt have time to implement everything.
